3/1/2024 Friday daily diary from Atwater Camp.
Woke up at 5:30 AM. Made up my bed, cleaned up, changed to BOP uniform and made a cup of coffee. Stretched, drank my coffee and watched the local news and weather report, high temperature for today is 58 degrees F. Started walking at 6:50 AM. Breakfast was served at 6:30 AM. Breakfast menu: oatmeal, muffin, apple and water.

Plan for Today:

  1. stretch.
  2. Call Doris.
  3. Check email from Doris.
  4. Email daily diary for 2/29/2024.
  5. Walk 6 Miles.
  6. Split Stretch.
  7. Quotations.
  8. ACE Classes – Geography Mystic World 5-5:30 PM and Basic Will and Trust 6:30 – 7:00 PM.
  9. GED/ ESL Tutoring 12:00 – 2:30 PM.

It rained all night and part of the morning. It was heavily overcast with stratus Cumulus clouds. Walked at the basketball court in between windows of clear weather. Lebron the rabbit was out by the basketball court. It is funny all the other rabbits were no where in sight. Th morning walk was refreshing after the rain. Completed walking 6 miles at 8:40 AM, in 1 hour 14 minutes and 2 seconds. Average walking times were: 12 minutes and 4 seconds per mile (milla) or 49 seconds per lap (vuelta). Stretched and split stretched at the basketball court. Finished stretching at 9:10 AM. Had some crackers, chocolates and an apple for snacks. Showered at 9:30 AM and changed to BOP uniform. Lunch was served at 10:15 AM. Luncheon menu: fried fish sandwich, Cole Slaw, spinach, bread and water. Went to sewing room to exchange Lrg shirt for and 38X27 pants for Armand, exchange t shirt for Cheecho. Talked o Doris at 11:50 AM: Doris is well, the dogs are well. The weather in the Bay Area was rain and more rain through the weekend. Doris walked 7127 steps, 16.1 Inches Step length, symmetry was 71%. Yesterday was the 39th consecutive days she had closed the ring. Doris felt confident that she can close the ring, it is part of her routine. She asked why I was late calling her, I told her I had to repair some pants for the weekend visitation. She received my retirement check today. She asked about Lebron the rabbit, I told her Lebron was out by the basketball court today. Lebron was the only rabbit out there. Doris finally had a bird design for her apron. She enjoyed the GSW / Knicks game. I told her I have ACE Classes tonight and GED/ESL tutoring, have some uniforms to repair. She will be busy working on her inventory and again closing the ring. I told her I will call again later tonight. I told her the computer room was still lockdown. GED/ESL Tutoring 12:00 – 2:30 PM. Th GED/ ESL classes went well. Finished repairing pants and shirts. Back to the unit at 3:00 PM. Census count at 3:30 PM. New sign up sheet for History of Great Art 2 Class on Wednesday at 6:00 PM>Dinner was served after the count. Dinner menu: Taco meat, soup, cheese nd water. Took a short nap. ACE Classes – Mystic World 5-5:30 PM and Introduction to Wills and Trust 6:30 – 7:00 PM. Census count at 7:30 PM. Census count at 8:30 PM. Cleaned up at 9:00 PM. Final Census count at 9:30 PM. Went to bed at 10:00 PM.

Today was a good day: Doris is well and so are the dogs. Doris closed the ring for the 39th consecutive days. She walked 7127 steps, 16.1 Inches step length and symmetry was down to 71%. Her confidence for walking has improved. She will close the ring again toady. She will visit on 3/9/2024. Walked 6 miles and split stretched. Attended ACE Classes. Good GED/ ESL tutoring classes.
