The morning started out with the dawn sky already on display. The big round moon was in the Western Sky amid some stratus cloud, the Eastern sky was filled with low stratus clouds over the Sierras. As the sun rise the clouds above the Sierras turned to yellow cream color along the path of the sun. Some alto cirrus clouds were lit up with peach color. The display of colors was short lived as the sun was shielded by the clouds. The same rabbit was hanging out by the basketball court. I have decided to name it as Lebron. Doris arrived at the visitation room at 11:15 AM: Doris is well and happy. She is walking batter and without her cane, also walking with more confidence. We had Dr Pepper, Cheddar cheese chips and potatoes skin chips for snacks. Her appointment with the optometrist went well and she should have her glasses in two weeks. She still need to use the eye drops to control the swelling of her retina. She was able to see better but still has a haze. Hopefully the glasses should help. She has an appointment with the Tax preparer for March 18 2024. She is getting all the information together. DMV will not allow her to drive unless she has a vehicle customized for disabled driver. She walked 9105 steps, Step length was 15.8 inches and symmetry was 74%. She will try to increase the steps to 7000 or 8000 steps to challenge herself. I told her that would improve her gait. Siew Lan called to talk to Doris about family matters. Geok, and Eric called for welfare check on Doris. The dogs are doing well, just busy chasing after new squirrels that encroach on their territory. She will go to Home Depot to get some tomatoes and vegetables plants to plant in our backyard. She gave some analgesic ointment to our house cleaner. She will charge Francis $120 to clean the bathroom and his room, the money is to defray the cleaning expenses. She will try to get Norma to smog the Mazda SUV when Norma is available. Doris stayed until 2:30 PM. We had a good visitation. She plan on visiting every two weeks. Next visit will be March 9, 2024.
