The morning started out dark but cool, in the 50’s. As the dawn sky emerged, three layers of striated clouds in the sky over the Sierras, some sparse cirrus clouds in the mid sky. The clearing between the layers of clouds were red, orange, yellow and followed by deep blue sky. As the morning progressed the colors changed to orange, yellow, cream, light blue to blue sky and the cirrus clouds were illuminated with a cream tint. As the sun emerged, the bright yellow gold sphere lit up clouds until its edges were brilliant yellowish gold. The sun appeared and disappeared between the clouds and it started to burn off the clouds and warmed the air. The rabbit was out by the Basketball court. Finished walking 6 miles at 8:00 AM, in 1 hour 10 minutes and 33 seconds. Average walking times were: 11 minutes and 12 seconds per mile or 45 seconds per lap (vuelta). Stretched and split stretched at the basketball court until 8:30 AM in the morning sunshine. It was a nice stretch in the warm sunlight. Went to sewing room to complete hemming the pants. Repaired gym bag for John Liu. Counselor Reyes informed me that there might be a self surrender today and more next week. Cleaned the computer room. Showered at 9:20 AM and changed to BOP uniform. Talked to Doris at 9:50 AM: Doris is well and rested. Diana will come by around 11:00 AM to pick her up to: mail her package, shopping at Ranch 99 and optometrist appointment at 2:00 PM. The weather has finally calmed down but it is still foggy. She walked 7248 steps, step length was 15.1 Inches and symmetry was down to 79%. Her step length has consistently improved with her steps. She was trying to use the hardwood floor lines to walk straight but was wobbly when she turn around. I told her that was a good sign as she is developing new muscles to turn around rather than walking in circles to turn around. She received the 1098 from BOP and she will file it with our taxes. The dogs are well. I told he I will be busy with ACE Class and GED/ESL tutoring today. She will try to closed the ring again today and she is confident that she can close it. We had to cut the conversation short because of lunch. Lunch was served at 10:15 AM. Luncheon menu: hamburger, fries, an apple and water. Went to sewing room to return hemmed pants to Jon and repaired gym bag for John Liu. GED / ESL tutoring from 12:00 – 2:30 PM. Counselor Reyes told me the new self surrender was at the penitentiary but there were no medical staff to clear him. So he will be in the hole until he is medically cleared until Friday. So no new inmate coming to the camp today. Census count at 3:30 PM. Dinner was served after the count. Dinner menu: pizza, spaghetti with marinara sauce, beans, salad and water. Finished washing a load of uniform and blankets at 5:30 PM. ACE Religious Freedom 6-7 PM (Hosting). Census count at 7:00 PM. Census count at 8:00 PM. Cleaned up at 9:00 PM. Went to bed at 10:00 PM.

Today was a good day: Doris is well and rested. She closed the ring for the 30th consecutive days and walked 7248 Steps and step length was 15.1 Inches. She is getting new prescription glasses today or soon. Completed hemming pants for the penitentiary. The dogs are well. Walked 6 miles and split stretched. Hosted ACE Class.
