2/19/2024 Monday Daily diary from Atwater Camp.
Woke up at 5:40 AM. Made up my bed, cleaned dup, changed to BOP uniform and made a cup of coffee. Stretched, drank my coffee and watched the local news and weather report, high temperature for today is 64 degrees F. Started walking at 6:20 AM. . Breakfast was served at 6:40 AM. Breakfast menu: Oatmeal, muffin, an apple and water.

The morning started out with the dawn sky emerging, clear sky except for the thick clouds over the Sierras and some low clouds under 200 feet, breezy but cool, in the 50’s. bands of analogous colors formed over the clouds in the path of the sun, the color ranges from red, orange, yellow, light blue, blue to dark blue. As the morning progressed the color turned to pastel colors and the edges of the clouds on the path of the sun was bright yellow gold. The big yellow gold sphere was bright and warmed the air. What a beautiful morning and the air was fresh and clean. The rabbit was out by the basketball court. Finished walking 6 miles at 8:05 AM, in 1 hour 9 minutes and 18 seconds. Average walking times were: 11 minutes and 8 seconds per mile (milla) or 45 seconds per lap 9Vuelta). The walking pace was fast as I worked up a sweat, the walk felt really good. Stretched and split stretched at the basketball court in the morning sunshine. The stretch was good in the warm morning sunlight. Completed stretching at 8:30 AM. Had some trail mix, apples, coffee for snacks. Checked and replied email form Doris: Doris is well and she walked 6586 Steps, 15.2 Inches Step length and symmetry was 84%. This is the 28the consecutive days that she has closed the ring on her iPhone. I told her if she does this everyday, her walking will be normalized soon. The weather was bad last night as it rained and wind was gusting. I told her I will have ACE Class tonight, work on my class and book reports and Spanish class. She will work on her apron designs. I urged her to keep walking and close the ring again today. Cleaned the computer room. Lunch was served at 9:30 AM. Luncheon menu: sloppy joe, corn, beans, fries, banana and water. Talked to Doris at 9:45 AM: Doris is well and rested. It rained all night and wind was blowing, however it cleared up in the morning and the sun is out but the breeze persist. The dogs are well and are fighting over food. Doris walked 6586 Steps, Step length was 15.2 Inches and symmetry was 84%. yesterday was the 28 th consecutive days she closed the ring on her iPhone app. She felt more confident about her walking and can do it in one hour. She is trying to walk faster as her speed is up to 1.5 miles per hour. I told her I will be working on my ACE Class tonight, ACE Class and Book reports, and Spanish lessons. She will work on he design for a Phoenix, for her apron. She will also work on closing the ring again today. Census count at 10:15 AM. Showered at 10:30 AM and changed to BOP uniform. Went to library to work on my book and class reports. census count at 3:30 PM. Dinner was served at 3:50 PM. Dinner menu: pull pork sandwich, beans, Cole slaw, bread and water. Spanish lessons 4:30-5:30 PM. ACE Class Real Estate 6:30 – 7:00 PM. Census count at 7:30 PM. Census count at 8:30 PM. Cleaned up at 9:00 PM. Final Census count at 9:30 PM. Went to bed at 10:00 PM.
Today was a good day: Doris is well and rested. She closed the ring for the 28th consecutive days. The dogs are well. Walked 6 miles and split stretched. Attended Spanish and Real Estate classes. Worked on book report.
