2/14/2025 Friday daily diary from Atwater Camp.
Woke up at 5:00 AM. Made up my bed, cleaned up, changed to BOP uniform and made a cup of coffee. Stretched, drank my coffee and watched the local news and weather report, high temperature for today is 57 degrees F. Started walking at 6:00 AM. Breakfast was served at 6:10 AM. Breakfast menu: cereal, cake, milk. sugar, apple and water (cereal, torta, leche, azucar, un manzana y agua).

The morning call out for Dublin Camp orderlies at 5:00 AM. They were headed out at 5:45 AM. It rained all night but the rain stopped around 4:00 AM. The morning started out dark, overcast and cool – 47 degrees F. The lower atmosphere was completely covered with thick clouds. The autonomous car company had their facility and flood lights turned on and they were not testing their vehicles. A few rabbits were grazing on the soccer and baseball fields, while Labrona and family were grazing by the fence near the soccer field. Breakfast was served early and no wildlife appeared, so the inmates left their food on the ground and on the basketball court. The walking trails were flooded but the basketball court was wet but walkable. I decided to walk on the outdoor treadmill on the basketball court. As the sky brightened, all I could see was the thick clouds. The birds appeared at 7:00 AM and they feasted on food left by the inmates and foraged in the fields. Completed walking 6 miles at 7:30 AM, in 1 hour 14 minutes and 18 seconds. Average walking times were: 12 minutes and 23 seconds per mile or 2 minutes and 4 seconds per lap. Did my laundry. Instructor for the EBRR Classes did not show up. Stretched and split stretched on the basketball court until 8:30 AM. Cleaned the computer room. Talked to Doris at 8:50 AM: Doris is well and rested. The rain stopped at 3:00 AM and she was able to drag the trash cans to the curb for pickup in the morning. I told her I only had 14 minutes left on my free phone calls. She was glad GSW won their game against the Houston Rockets. I told her I will be busy with GED tutoring, GED class and ACE Classes tonight. EBRR Classes were cancelled. She will stay home to clean up the garage. Finished my laundry. Showered and changed to BOP uniform at 9:30 AM. Ruben Torres helped me install shelving in my new locker, I gifted him with some pens and a dozen markers. Lunch was served at 10:20 AM. Luncheon menu: fried fish sandwich, spinach, rice, carrots, bread , apple and water. Brought some cleaned uniforms to the sewing room. Checked email from Doris at 10:50 AM: Doris is well. She walked 9985 steps, 14.2 inches step length and symmetry was 85%. Yesterday was the 376th consecutive days she closed the ring on her iPhone. She will stay home to clean the garage. Had a short nap. GED Tutoring 12:00- 1:30 PM. GED Class 1:30-2:30 PM. Census count at 3:30 PM. Dinner was served after the count. Dinner menu: nachos, rice, vegetables, salad, cheese and water. The four predator dogs were chasing after the rabbits and squirrels in the fields. ACE Class American Oxytocin 5:30-6:00 PM. Tried to add 3 new inmates for the ServSafe Food Handlers examination on 2/20/2025 but was informed that no new additions were allowed and they will have to take the examination in English only. Went to sewing room: exchanged blanket and fabricated pillow and cover for Pedro. Census count at 7:00 PM. Census count at 8:00 PM. Cleaned up at 9:00 PM. Final Census count at 9:30 PM. Went to bed at 10:00 PM.
Today was a good day: Doris is well and rested. She walked 9985 steps, 14.2 inches step length and symmetry was 8.5%. Yesterday was the 376th consecutive days she closed the ring on her iPhone. Walked 6 miles, stretched and split stretched. Good GED tutoring and Class. Attended ACE Class. EBRR classes were cancelled.
