It rained last night and in the morning. The basketball court was damp but good for walking. The sky was dark, overcast with thick black clouds but the temperature was cool, in the high 40’s. The rabbits were out grazing in the field. It was drizzling a little during my walk and it was refreshing. As the morning progressed the dark black clouds grew to gray clouds and to lighter gray clouds. Completed 6 miles walk at 7:50 AM, in 1 hour 16 minutes and 12 seconds. Average walking times were: 12 minutes and 9 seconds per mile (milla) or 49 seconds per lap (vuelta). Stretched and split stretched at the training room at the dormitory until 8:20 AM. Cleaned the computer room. Checked email from Doris: Doris is well. She felt guilty about not walking yesterday and decided to walk in the house. She completed 6832 steps, step length was 25 Inches with symmetry of 84%. That is phenomenal with 25 Inches step length. I encouraged her to keep up with her effort. Kein brought lots of food and she will enjoy them. It was raining in the Bay Area. The dogs were sheltering under the awning on the sofa. She was looking forward to our visitation on 2/10/2024. Showered at 9:20 AM and changed to BOP uniform. Had some donuts and celery for snacks. Went to sewing room to hem some pants with Liao Zhiting. Lunch was served at 10:10 AM. Luncheon menu: baked chicken, green peas, rice, roll and water. Talked to Doris at 10:30 AM: Doris is well. It stopped raining but it was cold and windy in the Bay Area. She said we worked really fast to hem the pants. I told her with practice we learned to hem faster. I told her we received another 30 dozens of pants. I have Saetern and Liao helping me to trim and hem the pants. I told her I will be busy with GED/ESL tutoring and ACE Classes tonight. I completed walking 6 miles in light drizzle in the morning. She was all prepared and looking forward to visitation on Saturday 2/10/2024. She will email before she leaves the house around 8:30 AM, incase I cannot get a hold of her on her way here. Her left knee was aching and she used some analgesic ointment and it helped. She started using her hard cast because she was afraid her knees would buckle. I recommended that she use a knee brace instead of the hard cast. The hard cast was for her ankle. She walked 6832 steps and step length was 25 Inches. She said she was upset for not walking and tried bigger steps, I encouraged he to keep walking.
Went to sewing room to trim and hem pants. GED/ ESL tutoring 12:00 -2:30 PM. Jon came by the sewing room to pick up 28 dozens of hemmed pants. Continue hemming until 3:20 PM. Census count at 3:30 PM. The AAPI group had a pizza party. I had the shredded beef, pepperoni, cheese and mixed vegetables pizza. it was excellent. I shared the pizza with: Santos, Philipe and Jesse.
