It rained last night and all morning. Washed a load of my greens, blanket and sheets. Worked on my Spanish lessons in the computer room. Finished my laundry at 9:00 AM. Walked in between windows of no rain. Checked Doris email: Doris is well and well rested. She knew why I called her last night to let her know that Karlee and Chris were coming on 2/17/2024 to visit me. Doris will visit me on 2/10/2024. I commented on her walking 6700 steps, 14.3 Inches steps length and symmetry of 72% and encouraged to keep up the good work. Lunch was served at 9:30 AM. Luncheon menu: scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, banana, mashed potatoes and water. Talked to Doris at 9:40 AM: Doris is well and had a good rest. The weather in the Bay Area was rainy, windy and cold. She got wet letting the dogs out. The outside patio was wet because of the wind. The dogs are on the couch to keep dry and warm. She knew why I called last night, to ensure that she did not have some wild ideas about the visit and most importantly not getting upset over the whole issue. I told Doris I was proud of her for controlling her feelings instead of letting others control her feelings. She did not have any expectations of others to give her a ride to visit me. Instead she made her own arrangements for visitation and did not have to depend on others. She will be visiting on 2/10/2024. Karlee and Chris will visit on 2/17/2024. Kein might visit the week after. I told her we should depend on ourselves rather than rely on others. Also, she will have my full attention when she visit me on 2/10/2024. She will try to get her hair cut tomorrow, but Diana said it will depend on the weather. I told her to wait until the weather clears up on Tuesday. The dogs are staying in the dog house to take shelter, they only come out for food. Doris walked some in the morning and will walk some more later. I encouraged him to close her ring on her iPhone app. I told her I will try to complete my walk in between the rain. I will be hosting the Oceanography 1 and attending the Geography Asia ACE classes. I will probably work on my Spanish lessons and book or class reports. Tried walking in the light drizzle. The sky was completely gray, the drizzle alternated between light and heavy and the wind was gusting up to 30 mph. The walk on the basketball court was wet and my walking shoes were wet from puddles of water on the court. Completed walking three miles before the downpour resumed. Completed walking three miles in 42 minutes and 12 seconds. Average walking times were: 14 minutes and 4 seconds per mile ( milla) or 53 seconds per lap (vuelta). Showered at 11:00 AM and changed to BOP uniform. Went to the library to work on examination questions for ACE Classes: An Introduction to Infectious Disease and Stress and your Body. We had a partial power outage at 2:00 PM and all visitations were ended abruptly and we were recalled back to the dormitory. Census at 2:30 PM. Census count at 3:30PM.
