The morning started out dark, breezy, overcast and cool – 46 degrees F. it rained all night but stopped around 3:00 AM. The lower atmosphere was overcast except for clearing in the Southeastern and Western horizon, temperature was cool because of the cloud cover. The autonomous car company had their facility and flood lights turned on and they were maintaining their equipment. The rabbits were grazing on the soccer and baseball fields, while Labrona and family were grazing by the fence near the soccer field. The rabbits were skittish today as there are 4 large predator dogs roaming the fields. The beautiful dawn sky was on display: fiery striated red haze over the Sierras, analogous colors peeking over the Sierras: red, orange, yellow, seafoam green and the dark clouds. After breakfast no wildlife appeared, so the inmates left their food on the ground and on the basketball court. Despite the rain last night, the walking trails were damp but walkable. As the sun rise over the Sierras, The big Orange reddish sphere rise over the Sierras it changed colors as it ascended through the haze: orange reddish, orange, yellow and bright yellow. As it ascended further, it disappeared into the thick clouds. The breeze blew the clouds around creating areas of clear blue sky. The birds appeared around 7:10 AM an they feasted on food left by the inmates and foraged in the fields. Completed walking 4 miles and jogged the final two miles at 7:40 AM, in 1 hour 12 minutes and 46 seconds. Average walking times were: 12 minutes and 3 seconds per mile or 2 minutes and 2 seconds per lap. Stretched, split stretched and practiced Yoga at the basketball court until 9:00 AM. The stretch and Yoga practice felt good after the morning walk. I was able to exercise all phases: strength, flexibility, balance, and breathing. The four predators dogs appeared around 8:20 AM and they were chasing after several rabbits, the rabbits were running for their lives and they took refuge inside the fence. Finished my Yoga practice with the corpse pose and visualized the beautiful dawn sky and stunning sun rise. Opened my eyes to the cloudy sky with patches of clear blue sky.
