The morning started out dark, overcast, breezy and cold – 44 degrees F. The lower atmosphere was heavily over cast, light breeze made it colder. It rained all night but stopped raining around 4:00 AM. The walking trails were flooded, the basketball court was damp but walkable. The autonomous car company had its facility and flood lights turned on but they were not testing their vehicles. Rabbits were grazing on the soccer and baseball fields, while Labrona and family were grazing by the fence near the soccer fields. As the sky brightened, only the dense clouds were visible. After breakfast no wildlife appeared, so the inmates left their food on the ground and on the basketball court. The birds appeared around 7:10 AM and they feasted on the food left by the inmates and foraged on the fields. Completed walking 6 miles at 7:40 AM, in 1 hour 14 minutes and 50 seconds. Average walking times were: 12 minutes and 29 seconds per mile or 50 seconds per lap. The sun was a bright spot in areas with thinner clouds. Stretched and split stretched at the basketball court until 8:40 AM. The stretch felt good after the morning walk. I did not practice Yoga as the basketball court was damp, instead I stretched.
