2/1/2024 Thursday daily dairy from Atwater Camp.
Woke up at 5:30 AM. Made up my bed, cleaned up, changed to BOP uniform and made a cup of coffee. Stretched, drank my coffee and watched the local news and weather report, high temperature for today is 57 degrees F. Started walking at 6:15 AM. Breakfast was served at 6:20 AM. Breakfast Menu: Cereal, muffin, an apple and water.

Plan for Today:

  1. Stretch.
  2. Call Doris.
  3. Check email from Doris.
  4. Email daily dairy from 1/31/2024.
  5. Walk 6 miles.
  6. Split stretch.
  7. Quotations.
  8. ACE Classes – Infectious Disease 5-6 PM (Hosting) and Effective Writing 6-6:30 PM.
  9. GED / ESL Tutoring 12:00 – 2:30 PM.

The morning started out dark, overcast but cool, in the 50’s. It rained last night and in the morning. As the progressed the cloud changed it color from dark Gray to gray and to various shades of gray depending on the thickness of the cloud. The walking trail was flooded but the basketball court was wet but walkable. Completed walking 6 miles at 8:00 AM in 1 hour 17 minutes and 20 seconds. Average walking times were: 12 minutes and 12 seconds per mile (milla) or 49 seconds per lap (vuelta). The morning walk was nice and refreshing after the rain. Stretched and split stretched at the basketball court in the overcast sky. Finished stretching at 8:30 AM. Had some nutty bars, apple, crackers and celery for snacks. Secretary Mrs. Chavez informed me that there will not be any inmates coming in today. Cleaned the computer room. Took a shower at 9:10 AM and changed to BOP uniform. Talked to Doris at 9:40 AM: Doris is well and had a good nights rest. She walked 7833 steps, 13.1 inches step length and symmetry was down to 72%. It was rainy, cold and windy in the Bay Area, the dogs are taking refuge in their dog house from the inclement weather. Joseph call for a welfare check on Doris and commented that I will be home soon because of my activities. I told Doris I have ACE Classes – Infectious Disease (Hosting) and Effective Writing today and GED/ ESL tutoring. I told her the Unicor trip was to check out what resources are available and Mark Shena wanted to work at Unicor. Doris will working her sewing room today. Lunch was served at 10:20 AM. Luncheon menu: Chicken sandwich, beans, salad, banana and water. Went to sewing room to repair pants and shirts. GED/ESL tutoring 12:00 – 2:30 PM. Back to the unit at 3:00 PM. Census count at 3:30 PM. Dinner was served after the count. Dinner menu: hot dogs, Cole Slaws, Chips and water. ACE Classes – An introduction to Infectious Disease 5-6 PM (Hosting) and Effective Writing 6-6:30 PM. Census count at 8:00 PM. Census Count at 8:30 PM. Cleaned up at 9:00 PM. Final Census count at 9:30 PM. Went to bed at 10:00 PM.

Today was a good Day: Doris is well and she walked 7833 steps, 13.1 Inches step length and symmetry was down to 72%. That was a very good accomplishment for her. Walked 6 miles and split stretched. Attended and hosted ACE Classes. Good GED/ ESL Tutoring classes.
