Finished walking 6 miles at 8:00 AM in 1 hour 16 minutes and 27 seconds. Average walking times were: 12 Minutes 12 seconds per mile (milla) or 2 minutes and 2 seconds per lap (vuelta). The morning started out dark but cool, in the 50’s. The dawn sky was spectacular, the moon was in mid sky and northern star was towards the Eastern sky. The sky was layered with analogous colors: brown, red, orange, yellow, light blue, dark blues to deep blue sky. the colors grew lighter and more distinct as the morning wore on. the sun rise was spectacular as the reddish orange sphere emerged over the horizon, the underside of the clouds were illuminated into orange peach colors. Nature painted a beautiful picture this morning. The rabbits were busy grazing on the field. The walking trail was dry and great for walking. Stretched at the basketball court in the morning sunlight. The stretch and split stretch felt good in the warm morning sun. Finished stretching at 8:40 AM. Cleaned the computer room. Had some nutty bar, an apple and celery for snacks. Counselor Reyes informed me that there won’t be any inmates joining us today. checked email from Doris: She is busy cleaning the house in preparation for Chinese New Year. I told her I was proud of the walking accomplishments yesterday and encouraged her to continue with her improvement. Showered at 9:20 AM and changed to BOP uniform. Went to sewing room. Exchanged 5 pairs of pants for Juan Mata. Exchanged 1 pair of pants for Christian Gonzales. Exchanged 5 2X T shirts for bunk number 56. Exchanged blanket for Versace. Exchanged jacket for Daniel. Lunch was served at 10:30 AM. Luncheon menu: chicken sandwich, salad, spinach, an apple and water. Called Doris at 10:50 AM, but could not connect. Finally connected with Doris at 11:50 AM: Doris is well but her phone did not ring, probably because of no signal in the area or BOP phone problem. She walked some in the morning and will walk later.
