The morning started out dark and cool in the 50’s. The moon was in the mid sky and Northern Star was towards the Eastern sky. As the dawn sky emerged, it started out with reddish brown, red, orange, light blue to deep blue colors. The analogous colors were very pleasing. As the morning progressed the wonderful colors expanded and the dark blue sky turned lighter. The rabbits were our in the field grazing, but a couple of them ventured to the basketball court. Completed walking 6 miles at 8:00 AM, in 1 hour 17 minutes and 52 seconds. Average walking times were: 12 Minutes and 17 seconds per mile (milla) or 50 seconds per lap (vuelta). the morning walk was refreshing and comfortable. Stretched and split stretched at the basketball court in the morning sunlight. Finished stretching at 8:30 AM. Cleaned the computer room. Had some donuts, nutty bar, apple and celery for snacks. Secretary Mrs. Chaves told me that there will be seven inmates coming in on the bus today. Went to the sewing room to put away cleaned uniforms and prepared bus bags for the new inmates. Checked email from Doris: Doris is well. She went to Francis’s house for a party. She ate late but watched the 49ers win their game. she will visit me on 2/10/2024 to celebrate Chinese new year with me and also on 1/21/2024 with Karlee and Chris. I told her to enjoy the warm weather until Wednesday, when the rain will return again. Showered at 9:40 AM and changed to BOP uniform. Counselor Reyes confirmed that the seven new inmates will joined us at the camp today. Lunch was served at 10:15 AM. Luncheon menu: pizza, salad, green beans, an apple and water. Talked to Doris at 10:40 AM: Doris is well and Diana was with her. They are going to Ranch 99 to buy some Chinese New Year stuff. I suggested that they have lunch at Hing Kong Cafe but Diana is afraid to spend money. I told Doris to treat her to lunch. They watched the 49ers game and the 49ers are going to super bowl. Diana did not think the 49ers could win the game but they did. However, the warriors are losing usually on the last minute by a point. Doris walked about 4000 steps yesterday and she walked with her ankle guard or cast but had to hang on the door to support herself. Diana is seeing her doctor on Thursday, she is going to asked her for some Cortisone shots for her back, similar to Doris had for her knee. I told Doris we will have seven new inmates joining us today. Then I will help host the ACE Real Estate class and GED/ ESL tutoring. I told them several students are waiting for me today to ask me questions about their math assignments. I told them some of the students are very enthusiastic about what I taught them. Diana said she could recommend me as a teacher or tutor. Doris said she will visit me on 2/10/24 and 0n 2/11/24 with Karlee and Chris too. She will pray on Chinese new Year by herself and when Karlee and Chris gets home. i told Diana to enjoy the lunch with Doris. GED/ESL tutoring 12:00 – 2:30 PM. I have a couple of students that stayed over to work on some problems with me. It seems they are enjoying Algebra, since I showed them how to solve the problems and also how to use the calculator. Census count at 3:30 PM. Dinner was served after the count. Dinner menu: chicken fried rice, carrots, beans, bread and water. The seven new inmates arrived at the camp at 4:30 PM. Saetern, John Liu helped me processed them. Checked Doris email: she walked 6280 steps, 16.8 Inches step length and her symmetry was sown to 68%, that was a tremendous improvement in her walking.
