The morning started dark, hazy, light fog and cold – 36 degrees F. The lower atmosphere was hazy, light fog with visibility of over 5 miles, and no sign of the crescent moon. The autonomous car company had their facility and flood lights turned on but they were not testing their vehicles. Rabbits were grazing on the soccer and baseball fields, while Labrona and family were grazing by the fence near the basketball court. The rabbits were skittish today as there were three large predator dogs roaming around the fields. The beautiful dawn sky was on display: band of varying shades of red haze, analogous colors radiating out of the suns path: red, orange, yellow, light green , light blue and blue sky. Breakfast was served early, no wildlife appeared, so inmates left their food on the ground and on the basketball court. The birds appeared at 7:10 AM and they feasted on the food left by the inmates and they foraged on the fields. As the sun rise over the Sierras, the reddish orange sphere illuminated the Sierras giving it depth amid the red haze and it warmed the air. I walked the trails on the soccer and baseball fields. Completed walking 6 miles at 7:40 AM, in 1 hour 14 minutes and 40 seconds. Average walking times were: 12 minutes and 27 seconds per mile or 2 minutes and 5 seconds per lap. Stretched, split stretched and practiced Yoga on the basketball court until 8:50 AM. The stretch and Yoga practice felt good after the cold morning walk. I was able to exercise all phases: strength, flexibility, balance and breathing. Finished my Yoga practice with the corpse pose and visualized the beautiful dawn sky and spectacular sun rise. Opened my eyes to the bright blue sky. Talked to Doris at 9:00 AM: Doris is well and rested. It was cold and foggy in Pinole – 29 degrees F. Her customer is coming over to pick up the Peacock Sweat shirt. Her next project is a Butterfly design. She will concentrate on the higher end design to justify her time and effort. She emailed her walking steps to me. I will be busy tutoring and ACE Classes tonight. Showered and changed to BOP uniform at 9:30 AM. Cleaned the computer room. Had a short nap. GED tutoring 12:00 – 3:00 PM. Brought more cleaned uniforms and blankets to sewing room. Census count at 3:30 PM. Dinner was served after the count.
