Finished walking six miles at 8:00 AM, in 1 hour 14 minutes and 40 seconds. Average walking times were: 12 Minutes and 10 seconds per mile (milla) or 49 seconds per lap (vuelta). The morning started out dark but cool, in the 50’s. The Eastern was cloudy but the Western sky was clear. The big round moon was on display. As the morning progresses, the cloud consolidates towards the Eastern horizon. The sky became lighter and the sun’s rays radiated out over the clouds. The sun finally peeked our the clouds and a fiery orange sphere appeared, what a beautiful sight after several days of rain. Then the low fog moved into the camp, looks like some scenes from World War II movies. As the sun rose, it burned off the fog. Stretched at the basketball court in the morning sunshine until 8:30 AM. Cleaned the computer room. Had some donuts, and apple and celery for snacks. Showered at 9:20 AM and changed to BOP uniform. Counselor Reyes told me there will not be any new inmates today, there will be tow tomorrow. Went to the sewing room to discuss the repairs for the penitentiary uniforms: we will hem and repair the jumpsuits, repair all the pants and repair all the shirts. They will pick up the repaired uniforms today. Lunch was served at 10:10 AM. Luncheon menu: chicken sandwich, green beans, pasta, an apple and water. Talked to Doris at 10:30 AM: Doris and the dogs are well. She walked a little in the morning and is cleaning her room right now. She will walk some more later. I told her she should have a goal of 5000 steps per day and to make it as part of her routine.. She has not heard anything from Annie and Quang about the visitation, but will advise me when she hears something. I told her I will be busy finishing up the repairs for the penitentiary as we have to finish it today. She asked bout my help. I told her he will be help me with the repairs. I will have GED / ESL tutoring and ACE classes tonight, attending and hosting. She liked the Infectious Disease Class report and it applies to us. I told her maintaining a healthy lifestyle like exercise daily and eating nutritious meals will help us prevent and avoid diseases. She read the report several times as it was very scientific and she liked it. Went to the sewing room to repair pants and jumpsuits for the penitentiary. Satern helped me with the repairs. We provided an inventory request to Jon for the laundry room. Completed all repairs at 11:30 AM. GED / ESL Tutoring 12:00 – 2:30 PM. Good GED/ ESL classes. Census count at 3:30 PM. Dinner was served after the count. Dinner menu: shredded chicken, beans, rice, bread and water. ACE Classes – An introduction to Infectious Disease 5-6 PM (Hosting) and Effective Writing 6-6:30 PM.
