The morning started out dark, hazy, light fog and cold. The lower atmosphere was hazy with plumes of dark smoke on the Southern and Western Horizons, light fog with visibility of over 5 miles and cold – 37 degrees F. The autonomous car company had their facility and floodlights turned on and they were testing their vehicles. Rabbits were grazing on the soccer and baseball fields, while Labrona and family were grazing by the fence near the basketball court. Breakfast was served early, no wildlife appeared after breakfast, so the inmates left their food on the ground and on the basketball court. The beautiful dawn sky was on display with: band of red haze striated with dark smoke, analogous colors radiated out of the suns path: red, orange, yellow, light blue and dark blue sky, crescent moon in mid sky at 11 o’clock amid the dark blue sky. I walked the trails on the soccer and baseball fields. As the sun rise over the Sierras, the big red sphere illuminated the Sierras amid the red haze, it changed colors as it ascended through the haze from red, orange, yellow and bright yellow. The birds appeared around 7:20 AM and they feasted on the food left on the ground by the inmates and they foraged on the fields. Completed walking 4 miles and jogged the final two miles at 7:40 AM, in 1 hour 11 minutes and 17 seconds. Average walking times were: 11 minutes and 52 seconds per mile or 1 minutes and 59 seconds per lap. Stretched, split stretched and practiced Yoga at the basketball court in the morning sunshine until 8:50 AM. The stretch and Yoga practice felt good after the cold morning walk and jog. I was able to exercise all phases: strength, flexibility, balance and breathing. Finished my Yoga practice with the corpse pose and visualized the beautiful dawn sky, spectacular sun rise and 1/2 moon in mid sky. Opened my eyes to the blue sky and the 1/2 moon in mid sky at 11 o’clock. Talked to Doris at 9:00 AM: Doris is well and rested. It was cold and foggy in Pinole when she let the dogs out. She will clean the yards and put the trash cans out for collection. Geok, Coos, Mariam and the twins are enroute to Malaysia for Chinese New Year celebrations and then to Melbourne. Unfortunately, GSW lost their game to the Sacramento Kings last night. I will be busy with GED tutoring and ACE Class. Counselor Reyes informed me that we will have a new inmate of the bus and assigned him to bunk # 49U. Showered and changed to BOP uniform. Lunch was served at 10:20 AM. Luncheon menu: chili cheese fries, mixed vegetables, beans, apple and water. Today was commissary day but I did not get anything. Cleaned the computer room. Checked email from Doris at 11:00 AM: Doris is well and rested. She walked 9407 steps, 18.5 inches step length and symmetry was 7.9%. Yesterday was the 354th consecutive days she closed the ring on her iPhone. Her step length has improved. Went to sewing room: Chan and John Liu delivered some Xl T shirts and Khaki uniforms for repair, removed trashed uniforms, hauled off repaired Khaki uniforms, and put away jackets. Had a short nap. GED tutoring 12:00 – 3:00 PM. Good tutoring sessions. Went to sewing room: exchanged 4 XL T shirts and blanket for David, and exchanged 2 XL T shirts for Ortuno, exchanged 2 XL T shirts for Perez and 4 XL T shirts for Cody Carlson, 4 XL T shirts for Romero.
