The morning started out dark, hazy, light fog, light breeze and cold -36 degrees F. The lower atmosphere was hazy, little fog with visibility of about 5 miles, 1/2 moon was in mid sky and it was cold. The autonomous car company had their facility and flood lights turned on and they were testing their vehicles. Rabbits were grazing on the soccer and baseball fields, while LaBrona and family were grazing by the fence near the basketball court. The dawn sky was on display: Band of red haze over the Sierras, analogous colors radiated out of the suns path: red, orange, yellow, light green, light blue and dark blue sky, 1/2 moon in mid sky at 12 o’clock and the dark blue sky. Breakfast was served early, no wildlife appeared, so the inmates left their food on the ground and on the basketball court. As the sun rise over the Sierras, the big red sphere illuminated the Sierras giving it depth amid the red haze, the red sphere changed colors as it ascended through the haze and it warmed the air. The birds appeared around 7:20 AM and feasted on the food left by the inmates and they foraged on the soccer and baseball fields. I walked the trails on the soccer and baseball fields. Completed walking 5 miles and jogged the final mile at 7:40 AM, in 1 hour 14 minutes and 8 seconds. Average walking times were: 12 minutes and 22 seconds per mile or 2 minutes and 4 seconds per lap. Stretched, split stretched and practiced Yoga at the basketball court in the morning sunshine until 8:50 AM. The stretch and Yoga practice felt good after the cold morning walk. I was able to exercise all phases: strength, flexibility, balance and breathing. Finished my Yoga practice with the corpse pose and visualized the beautiful dawn sky and spectacular sun rise. Called Doris at 9:00 AM: My FSA phone minutes was restored, 300 minutes per month and a maximum of 30 minutes usage per day. Doris is well and rested.
