The morning started out dark, hazy, breezy and cold – 34 degrees F. The lower atmosphere was hazy, light fog, 1/2 moon was in mid sky and the breeze made it colder. The autonomous car company had their facility and flood lights turned on but they were not testing their vehicles. They usually test their vehicles in the daylight hours and at night. Rabbits were grazing on the soccer and baseball fields, while Labrona and family were grazing by the fence near the basketball court. The beautiful dawn sky was on display: band of red haze, sparse mauve colored clouds in the Eastern horizon, 1/2 moon in the mid sky, analogous colors peeking over the Sierras: red, orange, yellow, light green, light blue and blue sky. After breakfast, no wildlife appeared so the inmates left their food on the ground and on the basketball court. As the sun rise over the Sierras, it illuminated the Sierras giving it depth amid the Red haze, the sparse Eastern clouds changed colors from mauve, pink, peach and white, the 1/2 moon was in mid sky at 1 o’clock, the red sphere changed colors from red, orange, yellow and bright yellow as it ascended through the haze. The birds appeared and feasted on the food discarded by the inmates on the ground. I walked the trails on the soccer and baseball fields. Completed walking 6 miles at 7:40 AM, in 1 hour 14 minutes and 23 seconds. Average walking times were: 12 minutes and 24 seconds per mile or 2 minutes and 4 seconds per lap. Stretched, split stretched an practiced Yoga at the basketball court in the sunshine until 8:50 AM. The stretch and Yoga practice felt good after the cold morning walk. I was able to exercise all phases: strength, balance, flexibility and breathing. Finished my Yoga with the corpse pose and visualized the beautiful dawn sky and the spectacular sun rise. Opened my eyes to the hazy blue sky with the half moon in mid sky at 1 o’clock. The autonomous car company turned off their flood lights around 8:00 AM. More inmates appeared on the walking trails and on the basketball courts for their workout. Went to sewing room: brought some cleaned uniforms and blankets, fabricated sheet/blanket cover for my mattress. Lunch was served at 9:30 AM. Luncheon menu: scrambled eggs, toast with syrup, fries, apple and water. Talked to Doris at 9:50 AM: Doris is well and rested. It was cold in Pinole when she let the dogs out. Francis bought some Durians for Doris. GSW won their game against the Washington Wizards and their next game is against the Boston Celtics on Monday. I told her visitation was busy today. She will visit me next week. I told her I will have an easy day and work on my book and class reports. Census count at 10:00 AM. Brought more cleaned uniforms to the sewing room and completed sewing my sheet/blanket mattress cover. Showered and changed to casual clothes at 11:00 AM. Checked email from Doris at 11:30 AM: Doris is well and rested. She walked 9136 steps, 16.6 inches step length and symmetry was 7.4%. The GSW beat the Washington Wizards and they will play the Boston Celtics on Monday. Karlee and Chris will visit Doris for Chinese New Year weekend and she bought some Durians for them.
