The morning started out dark, dense fog but cool in the 40’s. It was dark and everything was fogged up. As the morning progressed the dark sky turned Dark grey and eventually to light grey. The morning walk was pleasant as it was not too cold, the fog kept it warm. Finished walking 6 miles at 7:50 AM in 1 hour 16 minutes and 9 seconds. Walking times were: 12 minutes and 9 seconds per mile (milla) or 49 seconds per lap (vuelta). The walk in the fog was refreshing. Unfortunately, the sky was fogged up. The rabbits were out grazing in the field as usual. Emergency count at 8:00 AM because of the fog. Stretched at the training room after the count. Cleaned the computer. Showered at 9:10 AM and changed to BOP uniform. Found out the the email system was down wall morning. Talked to Doris at 9:50 AM: Doris is well and the swelling on her ankle has subsided and she was able to let the dogs out. She was in the kitchen fixing something to eat. I told her we had a fog count at 8:00 AM and we will have seven inmates joining us today. We had GED / ESL tutoring today and tonight I will Host the Nutrition class and attend the Western History class. Her ankle still hurts but not as bad. i told her to keep icing it down, roll it with the roller, apply pain ointment and wrap it with the ankle guard. She liked the ACE Class report on Stress and she said that stress can cause depression. I told her it is how you deal with stress like exercising, maintaining a healthy life style, eating nutritious food. I also told her that transcendental meditation works, just keep chanting the same word for 10-20 minutes, a few times a day helps. I chant in at night but usually fall asleep while chanting. Norma cannot bring her to visitation this weekend but Kein will drive Doris to visitation this weekend either on Saturday or Sunday. She will let me know the exact date. She just has to pay for gas for Kein’s car or the SUV. Went to the sewing room to put away some uniforms. Prepared seven bus bags for the new inmates. New belt for Ivan. Exchanged blanket for Richardo. Did some repairs. Lunch was served at 10:20 AM. Luncheon menu: Chicken salad, pasta, beans, salad, banana and water.
