The morning started out dark, hazy, clear, slight breeze and cold – 37 degrees F. The lower atmosphere was hazy, the full moon was in mid sky at 2 o’clock. The autonomous car company had their facility and flood light turned on and were testing their vehicles. Rabbits were grazing on the soccer and baseball fields, while Labrona an family were grazing by the fence near the basketball court. The beautiful dawn sky was on display: red band of haze over the Sierras, analogous colors peeking over the Sierras, a thin line of sparse clouds and it appeared as if it was a flock of birds flying, the full moon in mid sky and the dark blue sky. Breakfast was served early, no wildlife appeared so inmates left their food on the ground and on the basketball court. As the sun rise over the Sierras, it illuminated the outline of the Sierras giving it depth to the snow capped Sierras, the red sphere changed colors as it ascended through the haze from red, orange, yellow to bright yellow. The birds appeared around 7:20 AM and they feasted on the food left by the inmates. I walked the trails on the soccer and baseball fields. Completed walking 6 miles at 7:40 AM, in 1 hour 14 minutes and 24 seconds. Average walking times were: 12 minutes and 24 seconds per mile or 2 minutes and 4 seconds per lap. Stretched, split stretched and practiced Yoga until 8:50 AM, at the basketball court in the morning sunshine. The stretch and Yoga practice felt good after the cold morning walk. I was able to exercise all phases: strength, flexibility, balance and breathing. Completed my Yoga practice with the corpse pose and visualized the spectacular sunset and the colorful dusk sky from last night. Opened my eyes to the clear blue sky and the full moon was setting in the Western horizon. Today was commissary day and I spent $9.75 at the commissary. Talked to Doris at 9:00 AM: Doris is well and rested. The weather was foggy and cold as she let the dogs out today. Diana is coming by to see Doris. GSW is playing the Minnesota Timberwolves tonight.
