The morning started out dark, hazy, breezy and cold – 36 degrees F. The lower atmosphere was hazy, the breeze made the temperature colder and the full moon was in mid sky moving Westward. The autonomous car company had their facility and flood lights turned on but were not testing their vehicles. Rabbits were grazing on the soccer and baseball fields, while Labrona and family were grazing by the fence near the basketball court. The beautiful dawn sky was on display: band of red haze, analogous colors peeking over the Sierras, full moon in mid sky moving Westward and the dark blue sky. After breakfast, no wildlife appeared, so the inmates left their food on the ground and on the basketball court. As the sun rise over the Sierras, it illuminated the outline of the Sierras giving it depth, the red sphere changed colors from red, orange, yellow to bright yellow as it ascended through the haze, the full moon was setting over the Western horizon and it changed color to yellowish cream color as it descended through the haze. The sun brightened the sky and warmed the air. The birds appeared around 7:15 AM and feasted on food left by the inmates. I walked the trails on the soccer and baseball fields. Completed walking 6 miles at 7:40 AM, in 1 hour 14 minutes and 12 seconds. Average walking times were: 12 minutes and 12 seconds per mile or 2 minutes and 4 seconds per lap. Stretched, split stretched and practiced yoga at the basketball court until 8:50 AM. The stretch and Yoga practice felt good after the cold morning walk. I was able to exercise all phases: strength, flexibility, balance and breathing. Finished my Yoga practice with the corpse pose and visualized the beautiful dawn sky and spectacular sun rise. Opened my eyes to the Blue sky. Called Doris at 9:00 AM: Doris is well and rested. It was foggy and cold in Pinole when she let the dogs out. The dogs are well and running around. Diana wanted Doris to hire a contractor to do our yard cleanup, but Doris decided to do it herself as she needed the exercise. I will be busy with GED tutoring and ACE Classes tonight. She will work on her new designs for her Etsy products. Unfortunately, GSW lost their game to the Toronto Raptors. Secretary Mrs Chavez informed me that we will have 3 three new inmates off the bus today and assigned them to bunks #46U, 71U and 73U. Showered and changed to BOP uniform at 9:30 AM. Jon brought some Khaki uniforms for repairs to the sewing room. Lunch was served at 10:20 AM. Luncheon menu: chicken breast sandwich, salad, rice, spinach and apple. Went to sewing room: prepared partial bus bags for new inmates, altered jackets for Soto and Jesus, altered pants and shirt for Luis. GED tutoring 12:00 – 3:00 PM. Exchanged jackets for Soto and Jesus and repaired Khaki uniforms. Checked email from Doris at 3:00 PM: Doris is well and rested. She walked 9186 steps, 16.3 inches step length and symmetry was 7.2%. Yesterday was the 345th consecutive days she closed the ring on her iPhone. The Yong family texted their travel plans to Malaysia and Melbourne. Census count at 3:30 PM. Dinner was served after the count. Dinner menu: pizza, salad with dressings, spinach and water. ACE Classes Spanish 5:30-6:00 PM and Geography and Travel 6-6:30 PM. The three new inmates arrived at camp at 8:00 PM. Census count at 7:00 PM. Census count at 8:00 PM. Cleaned up at 9:00 PM. Final Census count at 9:30 PM. Went to bed at 10:00 PM.
