The morning started out dark, breezy, hazy and cold – 33 degrees F. The lower atmosphere was hazy and the breeze made the temperature felt colder. The autonomous car company had their facility and flood lights turned on but they were not testing their vehicles. Rabbits were grazing on the soccer and baseball fields, while Labrona and family were grazing by the fence near the basketball court. The beautiful dawn sky sky was on display: band of red haze, analogous colors peeking over the Sierras and the dark blue sky. Breakfast was served early, no wildlife appeared after breakfast, so the inmates left their food on the ground and on the basketball court. As the sun rise over the Sierras, the red sphere changed colors as it ascended through the haze from: red, striated red, orange, yellow and bright yellow. The birds appeared around 7:20 AM and feasted on the food left by the inmates. I walked the trails on the soccer and baseball fields. Completed walking 6 miles at 7:40 AM, in 1 hour 14 minutes and 30 seconds. Average walking times were: 12 minutes and 25 seconds per mile or 2 minutes and 5 seconds per lap. Stretched, split stretched and practiced Yoga at the basketball court until 8:50 AM in the morning sunshine. The stretch and Yoga practice felt good after the morning walk. I was able to exercise all phases: strength, flexibility, balance and breathing. Finished my Yoga practice with the corpse pose and visualized the beautiful dawn sky and spectacular sun rise. Opened my eyes to the bright blue sky. Tried to call Doris but there was no service. Showered and changed to BOP uniform at 9:00 AM. Lunch was served at 9:30 AM. Luncheon menu: chicken tortilla, black beans, corn, rice, apple and water. Census count at 10:00 AM. Talked to Doris at 10:10 AM: Doris is well and they are on their way. Their ETA is 10:40 AM. Checked email from Doris: Doris is well and rested. She walked 9721 steps, 16.8 inches step length and symmetry was 7.9%. Yesterday was the 342nd consecutive days she closed the ring on her iPhone. She is visiting today and ETA is 11:00 AM. Doris arrived at the visitation room at 10:50 AM. Doris is well. CO Mason was incharge of visitation. I told her my tentative Oakland half way house date is April 22, 2025. I will have a definite date when I sign the papers at the end of January. We had Dr Pepper, Hershey Chocolate, potatoes chips and water for snacks. Joseph gave me a lot of advise on how to meet with the Half way house manager and probation officer. I should update my release plan, prepare my plans at the half way house, list of courses I have successfully completed, description of my work program at the camp, my tutoring and teaching to help other inmates pass their GED and hosting ACE training classes. I am working on updating my release plan, course successfully completed and my plan for half way house and home confinement. Annie and Huang showed at visitation at 12:00 PM and joined us. I told them the Oakland half way house is located at 205 Macarthur Boulevard, Oakland near Lake Merritt. Quang and Annie have been busy baby sitting and they would like to pick me up on April 22, 2025. Joseph also gave us lots of advice regarding half way house rules and regulations as well as for home confinement like: urine analysis upon arrival, not to be late or be sent to detention center, inform case manager of my work andd travel plans daily to secure approvals, report on time via landline, be prepared for surprise home check and possibly weekly urine analysis for drug use. We had a very good visitation and they left at 2:45 PM. Census count at 3:30 PM. Dinner was served after the count. Dinner menu: pepper beef, rice, mashed potatoes with gravy, bread milk and water. Signed up 3 more GED students. Census count at 7:00 PM. Census count at 8:00 PM. Cleaned up at 9:00 PM.. Final Census count at 9:30 PM. Went to bed at 10:00 PM.

Today was a good day: Doris is well, so is Quang and Annie. We had a very good and informative visitation. Doris walked 9721 steps, 16.8 inches step length and symmetry was 7.9%.
