Woke up at 5:30 AM. Made up my bed, cleaned up, changed to BOP uniform and made a cup of coffee. Stretched, drank my coffee and watched the local news and weather report, high temperature for today is 51 degrees F. Started walking at 6:20 AM. Breakfast was served at 6:25 AM. Breakfast menu: Oatmeal, Muffin, an apple and water.

  4. Email daily diary for 1/9/2024.
  5. Walk 6 Miles.
  6. Split stretch.

Walking was interrupted by a fog census count at 8:00 AM. Checked and replied to Doris email: She walked 5623 steps, 14.7 inches step length with a 69% symmetry. I encourage her to keep up with her walking to build up her strength. The fog was very thick and the visibility was down to a few hundred feet. Finished walking at 8:30 AM, in 1 hour 18 minutes and 20 seconds. Average walking times were: 13 minutes and 4 seconds per mile (milla) or 53 seconds per lap (vuelta). The morning walk started out dark but cool with very dense fog and low visibility. We were restricted to walking on the basketball court. No dawn sky or crescent moon only dense fog. AS the morning progressed, the sky went form dark black to dark gray to light grey. Stretched at the basketball court until 9:00 AM. Cleaned the computer room. Had some donuts, an apple and celery for snacks. Today was commissary day but I did not get anything from the store. Showered at 9:30 AM and changed to BOP uniform. Lunch was served at 10:10 AM. Luncheon menu: hamburger, fries, salad, an apple and water. Went to sewing room to do some repairs. Exchanged pants for Mayfield 40 X 32. Exchanged shirt and pants for Gudgel. Exchanged socks for Rickey. Repaired jacket for Valencia. Found out the self surrender inmate was deferred until February. GED / ESL tutoring 12 – 2:30 PM. Called Doris at 1:10 PM: Doris is well and she is with Diana at home. The weather is drizzly, cold and windy in the Bay Area. She let the dogs out and they are well. She walked everyday to strengthen her legs. I encouraged her to keep up the good work. She sent a copy of her passport to Counselor Reyes to approve for visitation. I told her I was late calling as I had some sewing and repairs to do after lunch. I will be busy with GED / ESL tutoring from 12 – 2:30 PM and I called her in between classes. I will be hosting the ACE Class – Religious Freedom – Buddha 6-7 PM (Hosting). Went back to GED tutoring after talking to Doris. back to the unit at 2:30 PM. I found out from Rodrigo that we got paid. I check the Trulinc and indeed I was paid and I received my bonus too. So I am officially paid by Trulinc and Education Departments. This is good, as there is a record of my GED / ESL teaching record at BOP. Census count at 3:30 PM. Dinner was served after the count. Dinner menu: ground meat, cheese, beans, salad, soup and water. Worked on my Spanish lessons. I washed my laundry at 4:20 PM Finished a load of uniforms at 4:30 PM. Sent the load of cleaned uniform to the sewing room at 5:30 PM. Finished my laundry at 5:40 PM. Today was a very good day: Doris is well and she is walking everyday. The dogs are well. Got paid by the Education and Trulinc departments, with my bonus.
