Woke up at 5:30 AM. Made up my bed, cleaned up, changed to BOP uniform and made a cup of coffee. Stretched, drank my coffee and watched the local news and weather report, high temperature for today is 48 degrees F. Started walking at 6:10 AM. Breakfast was served at 6:20 AM. Breakfast menu: Oatmeal, roll, an apple and water.

Finished walking 6 miles at 8:00 AM, in 1 hour 16 minutes and 12 seconds. Average walking times were: 12 minutes and 9 seconds per mile (milla) or 49 seconds per lap (vuelta). The morning started out dark and cold in the 30’s. The crescent moon and the Northern star were visible in the Dark blue sky. As the dawn sky emerged dark analogous color from dark brownish red to yellow to light blue to dark blue was on display. Th sky gradually turned to lighter pastel colors. The sun emerged a big bright reddish orange sphere over the horizon, it was a beautiful sight with the analogous colors as its backdrop. The rabbits were out grazing on the trail. As the morning progressed, the sun warmed up the air and made it more comfortable to walk. Finished walking at 8:00 AM. Time for GED testing for the inmates. As teacher and tutor, we were not allowed near the examination site due to conflict of interest. The GED / ESL classes were cancelled for today. Stretched and split stretched at the basketball court in the morning sunshine rom 8:00 – 8:40 AM. The stretch felt good in the morning sun. Cleaned the computer room. Checked and replied to Doris email: Doris is well and had a good night rest. She got her passport out of the safe and is going to DMV to get her ID. She has an appointment with Dr Scott Lee today. I told her with the GED examination, the GED / ESL classes were cancelled. It was cold in the Bay Area, likewise in the camp. Showered at 9:30 AM and changed to BOP uniform. Lunch was served at 10:10 AM. Luncheon menu: shredded chicken, tortilla, beans, corn and water. Went to the laundry room to repair some uniforms. Altered pants for Eric. New self surrender inmate arrived at the camp at 1:30 PM. Processed the new inmate, it took some time as her did not have his identification card. Talked to Doris at 2:00 PM: Doris is well, they are on their way to DMV to get her ID with Diana, in El Cerrito. She had an appointment with DR Scott Lee. Dr lee was happy with her results as the swelling has subsided and scheduled her for some eye glasses on February 19,2024. She need to keep using her eye drops. She was able to get her passport out of the safe to get her ID. She will take her DMV online test in February, she just wanted her ID incase she did not pass her DMV examination. Worked on my Spanish lessons. Census count at 3:30 PM. Dinner was served after the count. Dinner menu: shredded chicken, beans, bread and water. Took a short nap. Worked on my Spanish lessons and read the Spanish phrase book. Watched the college football championship game. Census count at 7:00 PM. Census count at 8:00 PM.
Cleaned up at 9:00 PM. Final census count at 9:30 PM. Went to bed at 10:00 PM.
Today was a good day: Doris is well and she had a good night rest. She walked 5300 steps. Her appointment with Dr Lee went well and they will prescribe glasses for her in February. She managed to get her ID. Walked 6 miles and split stretched. Beautiful dawn sky with the crescent moon and Northern star and stunning sun rise.
