The morning started out dark, foggy, hazy, breezy and cold – 46 degrees F. The lower atmosphere was clear except for some sparse clouds in the Southeastern horizon, foggy with visibility on 1/2 mile and the breeze made the temperature felt colder. The autonomous car company had their facility and flood lights turned on and they were maintaining their equipment. Rabbits were grazing on the soccer and baseball fields, while Labrona and family were grazing by the fence near the basketball court. The beautiful dawn sky was on display: band of red haze; analogous colors peeking over the Sierras; dark blue sky with stars but the 1/2 moon was not visible. Breakfast was served early so no wildlife appeared after breakfast and inmates left their food on the ground and on the basketball court. As the sun rise over the Sierras; the big orange sphere illuminated the clouds on its path turning it too peach color with golden edges; the snow capped Sierras were distinct and it warmed the cold air. The birds appeared at 7:20 AM and they feasted on the food left by the inmates. Walked 5 miles and jogged the final mile on the trails on soccer and baseball fields at 7:40 Am, in 1 hour 14 minutes and 20 seconds. Average walking times were: 12 minutes and 24 seconds per mile or 2 minutes and 4 second per lap. Stretched, split stretched and practiced Yoga at the basketball court until 8:50 AM. The stretch and Yoga practice felt good after the cold morning walk. I was able to exercise all phases: strength, flexibility, balance and breathing. Finished my Yoga practice with the corpse pose and visualized the beautiful dawn sky and spectacular sun rise. They had the Servsafe examination from 8:00 – 9:00 AM. I told her we just finished the Servsafe examination and next examinations are the Pre GED and GED examinations. She asked when I might sign my half way house documents, I told her probably by end of January. GSW is playing the Miami Heats tonight, hope GSW plays well tonight. Lunch was served at 10:15 AM.
