The morning started out dark, cloudy, hazy, breezy and cold – 39 degrees F. The lower atmosphere has some clouds in the Southeastern horizon, hazy with visibility of 1 mile and the breeze made the temperature felt colder. The autonomous car company had their facility and flood lights turned on but were maintaining their their equipment. Rabbits were grazing on the soccer and baseball fields, while Labrona and family were grazing by the fence near the basketball court. The dawn sky was on display: red band of haze; analogous colors peeking over the Sierras; colorful clouds which changed colors from: pink, peach, yellow, orange and gold colors. After breakfast, no wildlife appeared for breakfast, so inmates left their food on the ground and on the basketball court. As the sun rise over the Sierras, the big red sphere illuminated the outline of the snow capped Sierras, giving it depth, it brightened the sky and warmed the air. The birds appeared around 7:20 AM and feasted on the food left by the inmates. I walked the trails on soccer and baseball fields. Completed walking 5 miles and jogged the final mile at 7:40 AM, in 1 hour 14 minutes and 12 seconds. Average walking times were: 12 minutes and 22 seconds per mile or 2 minutes and 4 seconds per lap. Stretched, split stretched and practiced Yoga at the basketball court until 8:50 AM. The stretch and Yoga practice felt good after the cold morning walk. I was able to exercise all phases: strength, flexibility, balance and breathing. Finished my Yoga practice with the corpse pose and visualized the beautiful dawn sky and the spectacular sun rise with colorful clouds. Opened my eyes to the bright blue sky with some sparse clouds. Cleaned the computer room. Talked to Doris at 9:00 AM: Doris is well and rested. It was cold and foggy in Pinole, even the dogs decided to stay in their house until the weather warms up. She will pick up some prescription by Dr Yang for her stroke leg. She has been busy cleaning the sewing room and house, her next project is the garage after they fixed the washer. The GSW lost to the Sacramento Kings, they played poorly and lost by 30 points, probably because of the back to back game. I told her I will be busy with GED Tutoring, processing nine new inmates and ACE Classes tonight. Counselor Reyes informed me, we will have 5 new inmates instead of 9, because 4 inmates was put on another bus later this week and they were assigned bunks # 59U, #77U, #53U, #75U and #9U. Showered and changed to BOP uniform at 9:30 AM. Went to sewing room: Jon delivered 10 bus bags, I prepared 5 bus bags for new inmates today and kept the rest for later arrivals. Lunch was served at 10:20 AM. Luncheon menu: shredded chicken tortillas, rice, carrots, apple and water. Checked email form Doris at 11:00 AM: Doris is well and rested. She walked 8726 steps, 15.7 inches step length and symmetry was 6.5%. Yesterday was the 337th consecutive days she closed the ring on her iPhone. Diana will drive her to pickup her prescription today. She ordered her grocery online and it will be delivered today. The GSW lost their game to the Sacramento Kings. CO Johnson put a call out for inmates who are taking the Servsafe Food Handler examination tomorrow at 8:00 AM. GED tutoring 12:00 – 3:00 PM. Census count at 3:30 PM. Dinner was served after the count. Dinner menu: chili, corn bread, mixed vegetables, rice and water. The new inmates arrived ta camp at 4:30 PM and we processed them.
