1/2/2024 Tuesday daily diary from Atwater Camp.
Woke up at 5:40 AM. Made up my bed, cleaned up, changed to BOP uniform and made a cup of coffee. Stretched, drank my coffee and watched the local news and weather report, high temperature for today is 56 degrees F. Started walking at 6:20 AM. Breakfast was served at 6:50 AM. Breakfast menu: Cereal, muffin, an apple and water.

Plan for Today:

  1. Stretch.
  2. Call Doris.
  3. Check email from Doris.
  4. Email daily diary for 1/1/2024.
  5. Walk 6 Miles.
  6. Split stretch.
  7. Quotations.
  8. ACE Classes – Nutrition Made Clear 5-6 PM (Hosting) and Western Civilization 6-6:30 PM.
  9. GED / ESL Tutoring 12:00 – 2:30 PM.

The fog was very thick so was the clouds in the morning. Started out walking in the dark thick fog and it was windy and cold, in the 40’s. I had to use my jacket for the first two miles. They were late serving breakfast. The rabbits were out in the field grazing. After breakfast, I had to remove my jacket as I have warmed up sufficiently. As the morning progressed, the fog slowly lifted and the dawn sky turned from dark to light grey. completed walking 6 miles in 1 hour 17 minutes and 9 seconds at 8:10 AM. The average walk times were: 12 minutes and 10 seconds per mile (milla) or 49 seconds per lap (vuelta). pretty fast pace, especially the final mile as I worked up a good sweat. Stretched at the basketball court until 8:40 AM. The sun was no where in sight. Had a nutty bar, banana and an apple for snacks. Cleaned the computer room. Mrs. Chavez (Secretary) informed we that we will have 6 new inmates joining us from other locations and 5 new self surrenders tomorrow. Showered at 9:20 AM and changed to BOP uniform. Checked and replied to Doris email: They had a good visitation and dinner at Buttercup. They will have lunch with Kein and Dinner with Karlee and Chris tonight. Lunch was served at 10:10 AM. Luncheon menu: Parmigiana chicken sandwich, pasta, beans, an apple and water. I had to go to the warehouse to secure blankets for the new inmates. Tried to get the CO and Mr. Echveste to open the education room and library for GED/ESL classes but no luck. Tried to call Doris at 12:10 PM, but no response. Talked to Doris at 1:10 PM: Doris and Patches are well. They had their luncheon at Hong Kong Cafe. Patches was shopping at Ranch 99 for grocery. Doris told me my release date went down 10 days. I told her it was the 10 days credit from December. She will continue to monitor the site. I told her the GED / ESL classes were cancelled because we were locked out of the classroom and Mr. Johnson did not show up for work. A CO finally opened the classroom and library at 2:30 PM. Processed 6 new inmates to the camp at 2:30 PM. Repaired 2 pair of pants for Gotti. Census count at 3:30 PM. Dinner was served at 4:00 PM. Dinner menu: Hot Dog with garnishment, mixed vegetables and water. ACE Classes – Nutrition Made Clear 5-6 PM (Hosting) and Western History 6-6:30 PM. Census count at 7:30 PM. Census count at 8:30 PM. Cleaned up at 9:00 PM. Final Census count at 9:30 PM. Went to bed at 10:00 PM.
Today was a good day: Doris and Patches are well. They had lunch with Kein and dinner with Karlee and Chris. Attended and hosted ACE Classes. Walked 6 miles and split stretched.
