“just dropped by to see what condition my condition was in” – Sharon Jones
The Connections of Our Lives
Let not your hang ups and eccentricities be a barrier between you and the beautiful connections of life.
Your connections are sweeter when you are well tuned. Serendipitous moments occur regularly, you find yourself
always, in the right place at the right time.
I would paint a man on stage; an audience waits while he tunes his guitar; if just one cord is off, we can’t jam.
Everyday, I awake to find peace of mind. Look your self in the mirror, start a line of positive communication.
“I am strong and beautiful, my condition is good, my plans for the day are solid, I am prepared “
Look inside your self, as you stretch your body. Get your heart rate up, feel you pulse quicken.
You are alive.
Find gratitude in this moment.
Take control of you breath, your body, your life.
Cool down and focus on what you are grateful for, bring to mind the people you love.
Visualize ribbons of love slipping delicately around you and then, see the love ties extending out from you, reaching out, not only to the people around you but also to those whom you love that are separated from you by time and space.
Love and gratitude are two truths that are not constricted by time and space.
Acknowledge that the day is filled with a bounty of possibilities.
Now, when you go out into the world, whether it be your own kitchen filled with those who depend on you, off to a job,
or out into the compound of a prison, you are ready to make positive connections.
Preparing ourselves in this way is the foundation of living a PROACTIVE life.
The opposite of this is REACTIVE.
There were many years of my life where I was like a ping pong ball in this game of life, bouncing off of one intense vibe, one dramatic situation, one toxic connection to the next.
When we fail to maintain a healthy, balanced lifestyle- we are not being proactive.
When adversity or trials come our way, we are quick to react.
Always remember, ” NEVER LET ANYONE STEEL YOUR COOL”.
