2025- HERE IS HOW IT BEGINS
” There is no end to the myriad ways to be engaged in repairing the world, or ‘Tikkun olam’, as it is called in the Jewish Tradition”
This coming year, I am going to focus on my own personal writing projects and slowly release more of the Peer Success Team to the other THINK TANK members. But first:
I submitted the 90 Day Challenge Proposal – hopefully, each unit will be able to get folks involved in setting healthy goals for themselves for the new year.
I have a meeting with the Warden on the 3rd Thur of the month. At that time I will submit the plans and proposals for the COMMUNITY GARDEN and the details for the TRANSLATABLE SKILLS WORKSHOPS. The two will launch together, if all goes as planned, although here, they rarely do.
Luckily, I learned from reading Dale Carnegie’s books, how it’s always best to give several proposals, all which suite you, one will inevitably fly. The original win/ win.
Last night, when I opened the Jazz Night event- poetry and rap delight, I spoke to the women about the importance of finding their voice, finding power in the stories of their lives. The truest power comes from turning your greatest hurts, sorrows, or mistakes, into art. In the process of ‘giving them to a loving audience’, they become free.
Creativity is the key that unlocks the door to self discovery and healing.
This year, I am going to spend more time on my own creativity. I find that I have the best ideas, a visionary for sure, but that I need to better to finalize my projects and move on. Too many irons in the fire, perhaps.
I plan to help others to find their medium; the method that suits them best for the delivery of their truth.
