Title: Gambling in Prison

Why I took this class:
This was a requirement for FSA Time Credit. The purpose of the Gambling in Prison handout is to determine if we have a gambling problem and if gambling in prison is prohibited.
What I learn from this class:
The handout illustrates the signs of gambling problems, consequences, costs and benefits of gambling, and different ways to gamble. Criminal thinking that is tied to gambling, self-evaluation of our gambling problems, how to stop gambling, and steps to take to overcome gambling. Also, gambling is prohibited in prison.
How this class will contribute to my success upon release:
This class will make me aware of the gambling problem and the cost to me and my family. This class will help me recognize the gambling problem in the geriatric and immigrant communities. The factors that lead to gambling and how to work with them to help mitigate their gambling problems. Furthermore, this is a FSA Credit course and the knowledge will guide me through my incarceration and when I am released.
