I am serving a 35-year sentence it started in 2014 at the end of September. I come from the Wind River Reservation I am a Northern Arapaho I lived on the reservation most of my life. when i was in 5th grade the teachers had once told us about statistics of who would be dead an who would be in prison an who would be living life an just not doing shit with themselves… I think they also had said about 1-2 % would become something. Well I remember this very well because I had tried to find a way to make it out of the reservation through boarding school an job corps. a lot had happened along the way the crazy part for me is that everything went full circle i have a quote that I reflect on and know it means something to me more than ever.
