My name is Kayla Vead Lachney, I am writing this first biography as I begin my journey
of 33 months in prison. I do not have any prior records, so this has impacted my life in a
big way. I will be updating this biography frequently and journal daily that will show my
daily updates to change. I intend to use this time to make myself a better person, Wife,
mother, and grandmother.
On September 21, 1982, I was born in Marksville, Louisiana. My parents Konrad and
Mathilda Lachney, they are also from Louisiana born and raised. They provided for my
sisters Andria Brouillette, Bristol Jeasonne, and brother Eli Lachney and myself
everything we need, for many years with one job my father held to make it happen in
our household. Our parents sent us to public school for our education and taught the
difference from right and wrong.
Education
During my years in school, I was an average student, focused on sports Softball, this
showed me discipline and structure due to it was organized sports with rules to follow.
Did get to graduate High School due to me becoming pregnant at 15 years old, But I did
get my GED in the meantime. Throughout the years I have taken many certificate
courses on business management, Director of a Daycare, got my bachelor’s degree in
Elementary Education, then became an owner of a Boutique Company.
Career and Entrepreneurship
Then I started working in different jobs until I found what I had a passion for
International Logistics. Worked for several companies, ran several startups always
made a good living throughout the years. Started from the bottom and worked myself up
the ladder, just working longer hours than others. Taking courses to improve myself was
a priority for me. Helped many colleagues around the world build their businesses which
was always my thing coaching and mentoring. Just The employees that I managed and
worked for me were always my priority them and their families. Always making sure they
were good and anything I could help with I would out of my own pocket. My main thing
was to work and help others whenever I sensed they needed. Treated them like my
family.
I am very dedicated to my career and became a consultant to help people and
companies, mentoring managers and sales teams. Showed companies how to
restructure operations to improve revenue. During the last years I learned how to help
companies in Change management and Digital transformations.
Personal Life
My life has been great with very strong family ties, I did not have the best luck in my first
marriage that was my high school sweetheart we divorced in 2012 then God but us
back together in 2019 and we got remarried on December 5, 2020.I have a wonderful
43-year-old husband who I love to death. We have 6 beautiful kids 2 girls and 4 boys,
and we have 2 beautiful grandkids that we love to death Amiley Bordelon (5) and Piper
Bordelon who is (2), which came from our 1 st daughter Hali Bordelon who is 25 years.
I have spent my life helping and giving to others.
Beliefs
I have always been very religious up until 3 years ago and after all this that has
happened, it brought me daily prayer, speaking with God. Started going to church
weekly the last months, feel very strongly that this will provide me the strength to
continue the correct path. My life will have God in it forever once again.
Major life changes
At age 41 December 1,2021, this moment brought a very big strain on our family,
difficult moments during these last 3 years. The final sentencing day arrived December
22, 2023, and I received 33 months of prison. I had and still have a very strong family
that is behind me and still helping me get through this.
Many months prior to this outcome I had been preparing myself for a major change
needed in my life. While serving my sentence I will be taken courses and reading books
to better myself as person. I will also be journaling very frequent my progress,
accomplishments and how I am helping others during the journey.
