Me-Time…

I do my best to make sure to set aside “me-time…. it doesn’t have to be much, but I slow down the day to spend a moment to self reffect… Usually I begin the day with a breathing meditation… no distractions just pure focused energy spent on taking deep breaths… inhaling positive affirmations and exhale releasing less than positive thoughts, energy, enmotions, &/or vibes… I do not time this activity – I literally keep my focus until I am feeling a true release of burdens… Often times I repeat the same process at night as well…

Another me-time theme is giving my body the proper love and care by Stretching and/or doing an intense half hour work out… When it comes to all things I keep the dicipline of “practice what you preach”… this too applies to fitness… due to my former fitness career I value pushing the body through a series of exercises without stopping/taking any breaks for the entire workout… On this day for example, we went out to the recreation box. I noticed a ball not being utilized for Sports, I took the liberty to do uneven pushups, followed by holding the ball overhead as I incorporated traveling lunges, and to complete the set with the towel, suspended back rows… this workout was a total upper of six rounds with thirty repetitions…. a few individuals saw my routine and requested to join a long… It was a good group and I felt like a leader pushing everyone… by the end they were gratefully tired… any other time I workout alone which is my preference… but it was nice to change up my flow….

I usually do intermitten fasting as far as my nutritional plan and only do fluids from the time I start my day until noon first meal, however my last meal time is before six in evening time. This works well for me to maintain regular body weight plus Sustain caloric needs as well as still loading the 3,500 mark…

Other than my mid-morning workout I also read for a couple hours before my first meal. Next, I write my thoughts or random business plans amd ideas for the remainder of the day, but if I have brain fog I switch up to read instead. In addition to all these activities I contact my friends and family.
During my incarceration or not I always do my best to keep time exclusively for myself. I highly recommend plus encourage this to everyone else.
