Fate of Perfection is based in a futuristic world where tech conglomerates have complete control over human society Reproduction is highly controlled and children are raised in labs and not with their parents. The main character, Millicent, is chosen to be a mother. When it’s time to separate from her child though, she is unable to do it and devises a plan to escape to a place where she can protect her child.
I chose to read this book because I enjoy Sci-Fi storylines. I often can relate these fictional stories to reality in more ways than one. I also feel fiction helps to have an escape from my current circumstances. While reading this book, I have increased my reading speed and upped my ability to read while dealing with the distractions of the dorm. The book became a story of a group of people fighting for freedom and taught me that I need to always fight for what I believe in. I will be able to take this new ability with me upon release as reading is always a beneficial skill to hone and use.
