3/15/2025 Saturday daily dairy from Atwater Camp.
Woke up at 5:00 AM. Made up my bed, cleaned up changed to BOP uniform and made a cup of coffee. Stretched, drank my coffee and watched the local news and weather report, high temperature for today is 70 degrees F. Started walking at 6:00 AM. Breakfast was served at 6:30 AM. Breakfast menu: Oatmeal, cake, milk, sugar, apple and water (Harina de avena, torta, leche, azucar, un manzana y agua).

The morning started out dark, cloudy, slight fog and cool – 50 degrees F. The lower atmosphere was cloudy with clearing in the South and East, fog in a distance with visibility of over 5 miles. Washed my sheets and blankets at 5:30 AM. The autonomous car company had their facility and flood lights turned on, they were maintaining their equipment and they tested their vehicles last night. Several rabbits were grazing on the soccer and baseball fields, while Labrona and family were grazing by the fence near the soccer field. The dawn sky was on display; orange yellowish band of haze; analogous colors peeking over the Sierras mixed with some sparse clouds: orange, yellow, cream, light green, light blue and dark blue sky. Some higher clouds were peach colored. Breakfast was served early, no wildlife appeared so the inmates left their food on the ground and on the basketball court. The trails on the soccer and baseball fields were muddy so I walked on the basketball court. As the sun rise, the orange sphere turned the clouds in its path peach color with golden edges, it illuminated the Sierras giving it depth and distance clouds were peach, gray and white colored. The birds appeared and feasted on food left by the inmates and foraged in the fields. Completed walking six miles at 7:40 AM, in 1 hour 14 minutes and 18 seconds. Finished my laundry. Stretched, split stretched and practiced Yoga at the basketball court until 9:00 AM. The sun dodged in and out of the clouds and finally emerged at 8:10 AM, bright sunshine and clean crisp air. The stretch and Yoga practice felt good after the morning walk. I was able to exercise all phases: Strength, flexibility, balance and breathing. Finished my Yoga practice with the corpse pose and visualized the beautiful dawn sky and colorful sun rise. Opened my eyes to the sunny blue sky with sparse cirrus clouds. The warmth of the sunshine felt good. Talked to Doris at 9:05 AM: Doris is well and rested. Weather was cloudy but dry in Pinole. She went shopping with Hortencia and had lunch after shopping. She made a good Easter sale to her customers. She will clean the yard and work on her Easter inventory. I will be busy working on my ACE Class and Book Reports. She liked my ACE Class Report on Abraham Lincoln and the Civil War. The GSW is playing the New York Knicks tonight. Checked email from Doris at 9:20 AM: Doris is well and rested. She walked 9377 steps, 16.9 inches step length and symmetry was 9.4%. Yesterday was the 394th consecutive days she closed the ring on her iPhone. She made a good sale to her customers from Brentwood who bought her Easter merchandise. She made enough money to visit me next week. Lunch was served at 9:30 AM. Luncheon menu: fried eggs, biscuits with gravy, fries, apple and water. Census count at 10:00 AM. Showered and changed to casual clothes at 10:30 AM. Had a short nap. Visitation was busy today. CO Cruz came by the camp to check for contraband at 2:30 PM. Census count at 3:30 PM. Dinner was served after the count. Dinner menu: Chicken patty, salad, green beans, buns, potatoes salad and water. CO Cruz found some contrabands in the computer room. So it was lock downed. Not sure the duration of the lock down. Unfortunately, I cannot submit my ACE Class, Book Reports and journals. CO Cruz was at the camp until 5:45 PM and he found lots of contrabands. The inmates were fearful and trepidation when CO Cruz was in the camp. The fear lifted after he left the camp. Watched the GSW against the New York Knicks. GSW won the game. Census count at 7:30 PM. Census count at 8:30 PM. Cleaned up at 9:00 PM. Final Census count at 9:30 PM. Went to bed at 10:00 PM.
