The morning started out dark, hazy, sparse clouds, breezy and cold – 37 degrees F. The lower atmosphere was hazy with sparse clouds in the South and Western horizon, and slight breeze made the temperature colder. The autonomous car company had their facility and flood lights turned on and they were not testing their vehicles. The rabbits were grazing on the soccer and baseball fields, while Labrona and family were grazing by the fence near the soccer field. The recreation department delivered four treadmills and four elliptical machines yesterday and they mounted them in the basketball court, they are out door equipment. Breakfast was served early and no wildlife appeared after breakfast, so the inmates left their food on the ground and on the basketball court. The beautiful dawn sky was on display: band of red haze, analogous colors peeking over the Sierras: red, orange, yellow, light green, light blue and blue sky, and the yellow moon was setting in the West. Birds appeared around 7:00 AM and they feasted on the food left by the inmates and foraged in the fields. As the sun rise over the Sierras the Big Red Sphere illuminated the Sierras revealing the snow capped Sierras, it changed colors as it ascended through the haze: red, orange, yellow and bright yellow. I walked the trails on the soccer and baseball fields. Completed walking four miles and jogged the final two miles at 7:40 AM, in 1 hour 12 minutes and 18 seconds. Average walking times were 12 minutes and 3 seconds per mile or 2 minutes and 1 seconds per lap. Stretched, split stretched and practiced Yoga at the basketball court until 8:50 AM in the morning sunshine. The stretch and Yoga practice felt good after the cold morning walk. I was able to exercise all phases: strength, flexibility, balance and breathing. Finished my Yoga practice with the corpse pose and visualized the beautiful dawn sky, yellow moon setting in the West and the spectacular sun rise. Opened my eyes to the clear blue sky. Talked to Doris at 8:50 AM: Doris is well and rested. It was cold in Pinole when she let the dogs out. She was happy that I signed my Half Way House documents. A new self surrender inmate showed up at camp at 2:30 PM and i processed him, he was assigned bunk # 29U. BOP changed out our lockers to 5 feet high lockers. They changed lockers for bunks #1 -17.
