The morning started our dark, hazy, light breeze and cool. The lower atmosphere was hazy with plumes of dark smoke and the 1/2 moon was in the mid sky. The beautiful dawn sky was on display with the red haze, analogous colors peeking over the Sierras, the 1/2 moon in mid sky and the contrasting dark blue sky. The autonomous car company was testing their vehicles 24 hours a day. The rabbits were grazing on the soccer and baseball fields while Labrona and family were grazing by the fence near the basketball court. As the morning progressed the sky brightened and analogous colors radiated out of the suns path: red, orange, yellow, light green, light blue and blue sky. The squirrels did not appear after breakfast but the inmates left the food on the ground. As the sun rise over the Sierras, the orange reddish sphere illuminated the outline of the Sierras giving it depth and contrast. Completed walking six miles at 7:40 AM, in 1 hour 14 minutes and 20 seconds. Average walking times were: 12 minutes and 24 seconds per mile or 2 minutes and 4 seconds per lap. Stretched, split stretched and practiced Yoga at the basketball court until 8:50 AM. The stretch and Yoga practice felt good after the morning walk. Finished my Yoga practice with the corpse pose nd visualized the beautiful sunset and the colorful dusk sky. Opened my eyes to the blue sky with the 1/2 moon in the mid sky. Talked to Doris at 9:00 AM: Doris is well and rested. She felt better today after the disappointment news yesterday and she was resilient to handle disappointments from the BOP. Unfortunately, she had to reschedule all her appointments this week because Diana was not feeling well. She was able to reschedule them. She read my book report on Traumatic Stress and Resiliency. She appreciated my hurry to complete the report so she could read it. She liked the report and helps her manage the disappointment. She will stay at home today and cannot ship out her Etsy merchandise. Checked email from Doris: she is well. She walked 8641 steps, 15.4 inches step length and symmetry was 70 %. Yesterday was the 263rd consecutive days she closed the ring on her iPhone. Counselor Reyes informed me we will have a new self surrender inmate today and assigned him to bunk # 9U. Showered and changed to BOP uniform at 9:30 AM. Lunch was served at 10:20 AM. Luncheon menu: hamburger, potatoes chips, apple and water. Went to sewing room: brought some cleaned blanket and belts, exchanged 2X jacket for Allan Liao. Went to warehouse with Allan to secure inventory. Happy Delivered the merchandise to the sewing room. GED/Statistics tutoring 12:00 – 3:30 PM. Administered practice GED test for students. Good Tutoring sessions. The new inmate arrived at the camp at 3:20 PM and I processed him. Census count at 3:30 PM. Dinner was served after the count. Dinner menu: Pork burrito, rice, beans, Cole slaw and water. Continue GED tutoring until 6:00 PM. ACE Class Building Credit 5-5:30 PM.
