My release plan is to first get my picture ID. So that I can get myself started and having ID is the most important step. Then I am looking to go to work as a longshoreman. While I am out working offshore I plan to finish college to obtain my Master’s degree in Business with my Bachelor’s degree being both Business and Psychology. I plan to continue working on my goal of starting a group home. I plan to have this group home and to create a change in many communities with working with at-risk/disadvantaged youths. I feel the conviction to make a big difference in society. There is no one that can give hope to people in the advent of technology. No real role models! Only lofty dreams and get rich quick ideas! Too many cubic zirconia mindsets, no one wants to have a diamond mindset and go through the pressure! I have been working on being a better me for over 16 years. Preparing myself for life on the outside, in which is the unknown and the unexpected. I do not know what to expect, because I have grown up in prison. But I know that coming in here as a dreg of society and a forgotten soul at 18 years old what was missing. That is why I can feel the hurt of the youths, because I felt hopeless and helpless. And just think about it I grew up in a time when internet was not around. And now the youths are being flooded with senseless misinformation, fanatical ideologies and being bullied on their phones. Kids cannot be kids in this day and age. So I feel that my calling is to start a group home and to make a change and a difference in one community at a time.
