The lower atmosphere was hazy with plumes of dark smoke, the wind blew away some of the haze. The beautiful dawn sky was on display with peach colored clouds mixed with dark grey clouds. The sun was shielded by the thick clouds over the Sierras. The rabbits were grazing on the soccer and baseball fields, while Labrona and family were grazing by the fence near the basketball court. As the morning progressed the sky the sun could not break through the clouds but it illuminated the high clouds turning them to peach color. The squirrels appeared after breakfast and were scurrying around begging for food from the inmates. Unfortunately, there was a memo forbidding inmates from feeding the wildlife, so no free food for the animals. Completed walking 3 miles before breakfast. Headed to the front office at 7:00 AM.
