The morning started out bright, hazy, slight breeze and warm. The lower atmosphere was hazy with plumes of smoke in the Eastern and Southern Horizons. As the sun rise over the Sierras, the reddish orange sphere brightened the sky and warmed the air. The hazy sky made the dawn sky colorful with analogous colors. The rabbits were grazing on the soccer and baseball fields, while Labrona and family were grazing by the fence near the basketball court. The squirrels appeared after breakfast and were scurrying around begging for food from the inmates. William Uribe turned on the sprinklers on the soccer field an the rabbits and squirrels moved to graze on the baseball field. Walked 2 miles, jogged 4 miles and sprinted the final lap. Completed 6 miles at 7:40 AM, in 1 hour 9 minutes and 7 seconds. Average times were: 11 minutes and 32 seconds per mile or 1 minute 56 seconds per lap. The pace was fast as I was sweating and had to walk extra laps to catch my breath and to cool down. Felt good after jogging 4 miles. Stretched, split stretched and practiced Yoga at the basketball court until 8:50 AM. The Yoga practice felt good in the breeze and I was able to exercise all phases: strength, balance, flexibility and breathing. Finished my Yoga practice with the corpse pose and visualized my trip to Danook, Thailand with Steve Wong. Danook was a town at the border. Th seafood were live, fresh, delicious and cheap. We had several live fishes, live prawns, mussels and other seafood for eight of us an it only cost US$20. We also had some shark fin soup with real shark fins. it was delicious and very cheap. Opened my eyes to the clear blue sky. I did not get anything from the commissary today. Remeasured the window in the Commissary so I could fabricate the window covering. Cleaned the computer room. Checked email from Doris: Doris is well. She lost her corrlink email. She was trying to reestablish the connection again.. She walked 8646 steps, 16.8 inches step length an symmetry was 82%. Yesterday was the 198th consecutive days she closed the ring on her iPhone. Her eye appointment went well yesterday. She will visit this Saturday on 8/10/2024. Showered and changed to BOP uniform at 9:30 AM. Talked to Doris at 10:10 AM: Doris is well and rested. her eye injection was good and have helped her vision which is slowly improving. She will probably need 4-6 more shots but she won’t need to go back to Dr Scott Lee. She will be out in the backyard to: enjoy the nice weather, walk without her cast, let the dogs out and enjoy her tomato plants. She was trying to reestablish her corrlink email account. She already to visit on 8/10/2024 Saturday. Lunch was served at 10:15 AM. Luncheon menu: Hamburger, fries, apple and water. Counselor Reyes informed me that we will have a new self surrender inmate today, Asian Chinese and he assigned him to bunk #2 upper. Went to sewing room: exchanged medium shirt for David Crisp, repair pants for Jorge, repaired pants for Mark Schena and repaired belt for Tran. GED/ ESL Tutoring 12:00 – 2:30 PM. New inmate showed up at camp at 1:00 PM. We processed him. Good GED/ ESL Tutoring sessions. Went to sewing room to fabricate window covering for the commissary. Census count at 3:30 PM.
