6/26/2024 Wednesday daily diary from Atwater Camp.
Woke up at 5:30 AM. made up my bed, cleaned up, changed to BOP uniform and made a cup of coffee. Stretched, drank my coffee and watched the local news and weather report, high temperature for today is 95 degrees F. Started walking at 5:45 AM. Breakfast was served at 6:10 AM. Breakfast menu: Oatmeal, cake, milk, sugar an apple and water (Harina de avena, torta, leche, ezucar, un manzana y agua).

  10. GED/ESL Tutoring 12:00 – 2:30 PM.
  11. ACE Class Economic Theory 2 6-6:30 PM.
  12. Commissary.

The morning started out bright, cloudy, windy and cool. The dawn sky was on full display with the analogous colors radiating out from the suns path: red, orange, yellow, light blue and blue sky. The rabbits were grazing on the soccer and baseball field while Labrona and her family rabbits were grazing outside and inside the fence near the basketball court. As the sun rise over the Sierras, the clouds over the Sierras turned to peach color with golden edges. The atmosphere was clear and the outline of the Sierras were visible making it a picturesque scene. The squirrels appeared after breakfast, they were running around the camp begging for for from the inmates. William Uribe turned on the sprinkler at the soccer field, the rabbits migrated to the baseball field to graze. The cloud and the breeze made it pleasant for walking and jogging. Walked 5 miles and jogged the final mile. Completed six miles at 7:30 AM, in 1 hour 12 minutes and 50 seconds. Average walking times were 12 minutes and 9 seconds per mile or 2 minutes and 2 seconds per lap. The pace was fast as I sweated and i had to walk a couple of laps to catch my breath and to cool down. Stretched, split stretched and practiced Yoga at the basketball court until 8:30 AM. The Yoga practice was good as i was able to exercise all phases: strength, flexibility, balance and breathing. Finished my Yoga practice with the corpse pose and visualized my trip to Vancouver, Canada. Strolling in Burckhardt Garden, the parliament buildings and China town also Marijuana was just legalized in Canada. Opened my eyes to the blue sky with some white clouds and the half moon in the mid sky. Had some nuts, a nutty bar and an apple for snacks. Cleaned the computer room. Checked email from Doris: Doris is well and rested. She walked 8659 steps, 16.4 inches step length and symmetry was 73%. Yesterday was the 156th consecutive days she closed the ring on her iPhone. Diana will be busy with funeral arrangements and won’t come by the house. She will follow up with Thomas Johnson on the litigation surcharge issue. She will be out in the backyard to: enjoy the nice weather, walk, let the dogs out and admire her tomato plants. I asked to be aware of wild fire smoke that might be blowing to the Bay Area. Counselor Reyes told me we will have 2 new inmates coming in tomorrow. Showered and changed to BOP uniform at 9:20 AM. John and Chan delivered 30 dozens of pants for hemming and picked up the 20 dozens of hemmed pants and the repaired khaki uniforms. Talked to Doris at 9:50 AM: Doris is well and rested. She will call Thomas Johnson about the litigation surcharge. She will stay at home and be out in the backyard to: enjoy the nice weather, walk, let the dogs out and enjoy her tomato plants. She will start to make more merchandise for her gift show. I told her I will be busy with some customized alterations for this weekend visitation. Lunch was served at 10:20 AM. Luncheon menu: hamburger, fries, an apple and water. Went to sewing room to: exchanged Medium shirts for Farhad, exchanged 4 Large shirts for Abbas and customized pants for Abbas. EBRR class Parenting 11-12:00 PM. This was the final class for Parenting. GED/ ESL Tutoring 12:00 – 2:30 PM. Good tutoring lessons on graphs. Happy finished the customized work for Abbas. Hemmed 4 dozen pants, exchanged one large shirt for Abbas. Census count at 3:30 PM. Dinner was served after the count. Dinner menu: chef salad, beet, vegetable soup and water. Went to sewing room to customize another pair of pants for Abbas and fabricate coffee filter for Jorge. Completed 4 dozens pants today. census count at 7:30 PM. Census count at 8:30 PM. Cleaned up at 9:00 PM. Final Census count at 9:30 PM. Went to bed at 10:00 PM.

Walked 6 miles, split stretched and practiced Yoga. Good GED/ ESL tutoring sessions. Completed customize alterations for Abbas and Farhad. Completed hemming 4 dozens pants. Emailed Litigation surcharge waiver to Thomas Johnson.
