6/16/2024 Sunday daily dairy from Atwater Camp.
Woke up at 5:30 AM. Made up my bed, cleaned up changed to BOP uniform and made a cup of coffee. Stretched, drank my coffee and watched the local news and weather report, high temperature for today is 92 degrees F. Started walking at 6:00 AM. Breakfast was served at 7:00 AM. Breakfast menu: grits, banana, cake, milk, sugar and water ( semola de maiz, torta, platano, leche, ezucar y agua).

  2. Call Doris.
  3. Check email from Doris.

  5. Walk 6 Miles.
  6. Split Stretch.
  7. Yoga.
  8. Quotations.
  9. ACE classes – Advanced Spanish 8:30 – 9:30 AM.

The morning started out bright, clear, windy and cool. The sun was over the Sierras. The lower atmosphere was not as hazy probably the smog was blown away by the wind. The rabbits were grazing at the baseball field and Labrona was grazing outside the fence. The squirrels appeared after the breakfast was served, they were running around the camp begging for food from the inmates.. the morning walk was breezy but cool, Completed walking 6 miles at 7:40 AM, in 1 hour 14 minutes and 52 seconds. Average walking times were: 12 minutes 29 seconds per mile or 2 minutes and 5 seconds per lap. The pace was okay. The squirrels were in their hideouts after their breakfast. Stretched, split stretched and practiced Yoga at the basketball court until 8:25 AM. The yoga practice was good. Had some donuts and an apple for snacks. Attended Advanced Spanish class from 8:30 – 9:30 AM. The theme for today was personal information and hobbies. Washed my walking shoes. Census count at 10:00 AM.Lunch was served after the count, Luncheon menu: scrambled eggs, toast with syrup, fries and apple and water. Talked to Doris at 10:50 AM. Doris is well and rested. She wished me a Happy Father’s Day. She said Karlee sent me a gift for Father’s Day, it will be at the camp soon. the contractor is coming over tomorrow to fix the roof leak, clean the gutter and seal the windows and roof to prevent leaks. She has to go to thee bank to get some money tp pay for the work. The dogs are well chasing the birds and squirrels. Checked email from Doris: Doris is well and rested. She walked 8322 steps, 16.4 inches step length and symmetry was 76%. Yesterday was the 146th consecutive days she closed the ring on her iPhone. She will be busy today in the backyard to: enjoy the nice weather, walk. let the dogs out and look at her tomato plants. She will also be pricing her merchandise for her gift shows. Showered and changed to casual clothes at 11:20 AM. Finished washing my walking shoes. Had a short nap. Went to library to work on my Spanish Lessons. Census count at 3:30 PM. Dinner was served after the count. Dinner menu: shredded chicken, buns. Cole Slaw, baked potato and water. Went to library to work on my class report and Spanish Lessons. Census count at 7:30 PM. Census count at 8:30 PM. Cleaned up at 9:00 PM. Final Census count at 9:30 PM. Went to bed at 10:00 PM.

Today was a good day: Doris is well and rested. She walked 8322 Steps, 16.4 inches step length and symmetry was 76%. Yesterday was the 146th consecutive days she closed the ring on her iPhone. Walked 6 miles, split stretched and practiced Yoga. Attended ACE Class, It was a relaxing days for me to catch up on my Spanish Lessons and Class reports.
