6/11/2024 Tuesday daily diary from Atwater Camp.
Woke up at 5:30 AM. Made up my bed, cleaned up, changed to BOP uniform and made a cup of coffee. Stretched, drank my coffee and watched the local news and weather report, high temperature for today is 102 degrees F. Started walking at 5:50 AM. Breakfast was served at 6:30 AM. Breakfast menu: Cereal, cake, milk, sugar, apple and water (Cereal, torta, leche, ezucar, un manzana y agua).

The morning started out bright, clear, breezy and warm. The beautiful dawn sky was on display with the analogous colors radiating out from the suns path: red, orange, yellow, light green and light blue sky. Th rabbits were grazing in the baseball field and Labrona and family was grazing outside the fence. As the sun rise over the Sierras, the golden sphere brightened the sky and warmed the air. The lower atmosphere was hazy from the smog. The squirrels appeared after breakfast, running around the camp begging for food. Completed 6 miles walk at 7:30 AM, in 1 hour 14 minutes and 25 seconds. Average walking times were: 12 minutes 24 minutes per mile or 2 minutes and 6 seconds per lap. Stretched, split stretched and practiced Yoga until 8:30 AM. Went to sewing room to: repair pants, hemmed pants for CO Zaleski and sewing cornhole pouches. Helped commissary staff unload merchandise for the commissary store tomorrow. Cleaned the computer room. Checked email form Doris: Doris is well and rested. She walked 8677 steps, 16.3 inches step length and symmetry was 86%. Yesterday was the 141st consecutive days she closed the ring on her iPhone. She will go shopping with Diana an then to her eye appointment for laser treatment around 3;00 PM. Showered and changed to BOP uniform at 9:10 AM. Went to sewing room to repairs uniforms. Lunch was served at 10:20 AM. Luncheon menu: chicken sandwich, rice, beans, an apple and water. Talked to Doris at 10:50 AM: Doris is well and rested. She walked out in the backyard to : Enjoy the weather, walk, let the dogs out an look at her tomato plants. Diana will take her shopping then to her eye appointment for laser treatment. She already walked over 400 steps already. Went to sewing room to repair uniforms. Shakedown of the dormitory at 11:10 AM. the shakedown lasted until 2:00 PM. They found some contrabands and cell phones. The televisions were turned off and laundry room was closed until 4:00 PM. GED/ ESL Classes were cancelled. the sewing room was not affected by the shakedown. Repaired belt and tablet holder for Paul Mata. Census count at 3:30 PM. Dinner was served after the count. Dinner menu: pepper steak, rice, mixed vegetables, bread and water. ACE Class US History 1945 – 1988, 6-6:30 PM. Census count at 7:30 PM. Census count at 8:30 PM. Cleaned up at 9:30 PM. Went to bed at 10:00 PM.
Today was an okay day despite the shakedown: Doris is well and rested. She walked 8677 steps, 16.3 inches step length, symmetry was 86%. Yesterday was the 141st consecutive days she closed the ring on her iPhone. She went to laser surgery on her sys, hopefully it will improve her eyesight. Walked 6 miles, split stretched and practiced Yoga. Attended ACE class.
