4/17/2024 Wednesday daily diary from Atwater Camp.
Woke up at 5:30 AM. Made up my bed, cleaned up, changed to BOP uniform and made a cup of coffee. Stretched, drank my coffee and watched the local news and weather report, high temperature for today is 80 degrees F. Started walking at 6:05 AM. Breakfast was served at 6:50 AM. Breakfast menu: Cereal, muffin, an apple and water.

Plan for Today:

  1. Stretch.
  2. Call Doris.
  3. Check email from Doris.
  4. Email daily diary for 4/16/2024.
  5. Walk 6 miles.
  6. Split Stretch.
  7. Quotations.
  8. ACE Class – History of Great Art Part 2, 6-7 PM (Hosting).
  9. GED/ ESL Tutoring 12:00 – 2:30 PM.
  10. Commissary day.

The morning started out as the dawn sky was emerging, striated clouds were over the Sierras, alto cirrus clouds in the mid sky, Northern part of the Sierras were clear, the striated clouds displayed some outstanding colors: sea foam green, peach, gold, yellow, mixed with some mauve and brown clouds, red clouds, light blue, blue and dark blue sky. The big patch of sea foam green North of the Sierras persisted for a while, while the clouds over the Sierra turned to red, brown and mauve, its edges were tinted in gold. As the golden sphere emerged, the clouds changed to pastel colors, the sky got brighter and warmed the air. breakfast was late as the CO did not show up until 6:30 AM. The rabbits were grazing on the west end of the baseball field next to the fence, Labrona and her juvenile rabbits were grazing there too. Completed walking 6 miles at 7:40 AM, in 1 hour and 13 minutes. Average walking times were: 12 minutes and 10 seconds per mile (milla) or 2 minutes and 10 seconds per lap (vuelta). The walk in the sunshine felt good. Stretched and split stretched at the basketball court until 8:10 AM. Cleaned the computer room. Had some CheezeIT, celery, an apple and crackers for snack. Fed the apple core to the rabbits. Checked email from Doris: Doris is well and rested. She walked 7674 steps, 15.8 Inches step length, symmetry was 88%. Yesterday was the 88th consecutive days she closed the ring on her iPhone. She was glad that the restitution case was resolved. She will stay at home to work on her inventory. I urged her to walk outside to enjoy the weather and her tomato plants. She will visit with Diana on 4/20/2024 Saturday. Showered at 9:20 AM and changed to BOP uniform. Talked to Doris at 10:10 AM. Doris is well. Our line got cut off. Lunch was served at 10:20 AM. Luncheon menu: hamburger, fries, pudding and water. Talked to Doris at 10:35 AM: Doris wondered what happened to our call, I told her it was the BOP phone system. She walked outside and saw a new tomato emerging form the plants. She said it was cold outside. She will work on her inventory. I told her new Id was approved. Doris and Diana will visit on 4/20/2024 Saturday. Diana’s daughter will bring them to Atwater. She was glad that the restitution case will be over soon, hopefully they will lift the restriction next week. I told her paying off the restitution helps, as I can request termination of my probations after I her served one year. I told her I will be busy hosting and attending ACE Class, GED/ ESL Tutoring and hemming pants. Finally the new keyboards for the computers arrived, I replaced them. GED/ ESL tutoring 12:00 -2:30 PM. Went to sewing room and hemmed 2 dozens pants. Completed hemming 6 dozens pants so far. Census count at 3:30 PM. Dinner menu was served after the count. Dinner meu: chef’s salad, beets, mixed vegetables, bread and water. ACE Class – History of Great Arts Part 2, 6-7 PM (Hosting). Census count at 7:00 PM. Census count at 8:00 PM. Cleaned up at 9:00 PM. Final Census count at 9:30 PM. Went to bed at 10:00 PM

Today was a good day: Doris is well and has a good nights rest. She walked 7674 steps, 15.8 inches step length and symmetry was 88%. Yesterday was the 86th consecutive says she closed the ring on her iPhone. Walked 6 miles and split stretched. Installed new keyboards for computers. Hosted ACE Class. GED/ ESL Tutoring. Completed hemming 6 dozens pants.
