Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim
In my Quran learning journey, you were an integral part. I have spent hours after hours watching your Tajwid videos to find my answers, practiced with your one minute Makhraj videos to hone my pronunciation, and shared your videos with everyone I knew who were struggling with pronunciation. Though I was not your direct student, both of my boys were. I sat down beside them often to listen to your gems. I attended your 10 day courses you used to have in Ramadan and DhulHijja. I experienced only good from you, Alhamdulillah. Your manners, friendliness and wide smile always made learning easy.
From day one, when all the chaos started, I had a belief there is more than what surfaced. Whatever the truth is, Allah knows it and He SWT with His divine plan is and will take care of it. For you, it could be a purification process but as a Muslim community we jumped to conclusions and eagerly accepted the label placed on you. That’s where my pain is.
May Allah bless you , may Allah bring you back among us with honor and dignity , may we get all the resources back that were helping thousands of people to learn Quran. Looking forward to read more of your writing.
Bismillah.
Something I’ve noticed when It comes to the best examples of the righteous of the past is that never is there a great individual except that there are jealous, envious evil people who plot their downfall and accuse them of false accusations. I was a student of yours in Quran Revolution, I signed up because I wanted to learn the Quran. When I joined QR I got more than I was expecting.
I learn from your mannerisms, your kindness, I felt so honoured as one of your students. You treated everyone with such respect and kindness, you gave us from your time, I remember you would say salam to everyone by name in class. I learn how to read in only a few semesters alhamdulillah and i’ve struggled in the past for most of my life to read Quran. May Allah bless you for all the hours and years you put into teaching the Quran.
As painful as it is to have this separation I believe there are people where you are who need you. You are in my duas repeatedly. Please keep writing.
May Allah swt protect you and illuminate your heart, your life and family with His Light and His RaHmah.
Thank you for your classes, thank you for the duas during your Hajj, the duas under the rain, thank you for the recitation, thank you for the listening, thank you for all the classes.
Allah is Al Ghaffour and Ash-Shakur
May Allah swt help you and guide you in this dunya and in the akhirah with His Light.
Ameen
As salaam alaykum. I have followed and benefited from your YouTubes for many years. Alhamdulillah, I have grown and continue to grow from them. Allah swt places us where we need to be at any given moment in time. You being where you are is a benefit for everyone there. You’re not abandoned, you just a a new audience to reach. Regardless of circumstances that placed you there, it’s for a beautiful reason. Please don’t lose hope. Keep writing as your words are beneficial because your words still bring guidance by Allah’s will.
Asalamu alaykum brother Wisam. I was once a student of yours through Quran Revolution. Allah knows how much I benefited from that course. Jazak Allahu Khayrr for your efforts in making that course what it is now.
I’ve followed your story, and I’m still overwhelmed by the whole thing. All children of Adam are sinners. The best of us are those whom continually return to Allah swt for repentance.
In Sha Allah we will pay for our sins in this world, and not the hereafter. Allah has a plan for you, brother. Continue your efforts in the dawah and by being a voice and light in the darkness of those cells.
AsSalamu Alaykum Wissam. I’ve been keeping up with you story, and found you in YouTube shorts through your teaching of tajweed videos. Allah ﷻ is the All-Merciful. No matter what you do, if you truly repent you will be forgiven. Also, you being an imam in jail. I recommend you start giving Dawah in this prisons. Bring in Sahih Bukhari and Sahih Muslim, as well, if you can so when you leave the system it can be an ongoing thing for the people who remain. Yes, you’re starting out small. That’s good. Alhamdulilah. Have respectful comparative religion talks. Show people how the Qur’an is the final revelation from Allah ﷻ and that the prophet Muhammad ﷺ is the final messenger. Your name and legacy was tarnished in this life in the eyes of the people, but focus on your legacy for in front of Allah ﷻ. InSha’Allah, this will be a means of sadaqa jariyyah for you. Who cares what people think of you in this world now? The main purpose of this life isn’t to please the people, but the Creator, Allah ﷻ. I hope these words sit with you well, and they aren’t forgotten.
Salaam Wisam
If you read this. I followed the story. I followed and read what others wrote about you. Allāh ﷻ knows what happened. You know what happened. And that is between you and Him. Your repentance is between you and him. Any wrongs to His creation is between you and them.
May He guide you to what pleases Him the most and ease this trial on you and give you the strength and patience to bear it all and always keep you be’khayr in this dunya and reunite you with your family.
Your words speak volumes. Please continue to write
