Release Plan

Release Plan:

I have a wonderful relationship with my children and their mothers. With the help of my family, I will be able to apply every lesson that I have learned along this journey to the fullest. Within one month of arriving at the El Reno FCI facility, I gained employment at the El Reno FCI Metal Fabrication Unicor Plant. Since then being employed for almost 90 months, and obtaining a Premium Grade position as a Tool & Die Setup Technician for the press Dept. of a multi-million dollar Federal Prison Industries Plant. With several employees in my department I have been able to train and advise a large number of people in the use of press machinery, and sheet metal fabrication practices, skills one can easily take to the community and make a difference in their lives. Providing this training that was once given to me by another person in my position has given me the understanding and respect of learning and giving back in a full-scale circle. While in this position I also completed a 8000-hour Machinist Apprenticeship and am now awaiting to be registered with the Federal Board of Labor. Recently taking an interest in the business side of this company I have also been trained in (SAP) a production software used widely across the nation and other countries as well. This has broadened my capabilities in production and helped me to understand better the whole process of the metal fabrication industry. I plan to take this knowledge to the community and seek employment in the metal fabrication trade. I have also participated in Drug Education Programs, as well as Health and Wellness, Leisure activities, and many other programs. I Am now on the waiting list for several programs, including RDAP even though I am not eligible for the sentence reduction as a result of completing the program, I believe that the knowledge it has to offer can greatly improve my chances at success after release. I do have a very good support team waiting for my release. I will be welcomed into the residence of a very good family friend, who is also a representative and speaker for Narcotics Anonymous. My ex-wife is now a speaker for NA and I would like to follow in both of their footsteps and become a sponsor and speaker at a local NA group and possibly in the church I choose to attend when I’m released. My children are all waiting for me to be released and will be able to provide much support to ensure my success. I have 3 beautiful grandchildren and pray that I’m released soon enough to be a part of their childhood.
