Housing:

Dennis & Mariana Zeedyk are the lawful owners of our home at 2010 Michigan Ave, LaPorte, IN 46350.  We have an installed landline to comply with monitoring requirements and the phone number is 219-575-7400.  We will live in the home together with our 15-year-old son, Samuel.  Our home is in one of the lowest crime areas in Indiana.

My wife and I have credit scores that exceed 700 and we have a history of paying our household expenses on time.  We have sufficient savings, and our household expenses will be met from my wife’s job.

By living together, we will avoid altercations with law enforcement and work toward building a career in sales and consulting.  With approval from authorities, I intend to work from home to minimize exposures to risks that complicate an adjustment for other formerly incarcerated people.

To assure the Residential Reentry Manager and my future probation officer that I have full support from my wife, I attached a letter from her and my prospective employer, Glycerin Traders LLC.

Substance Abuse Counseling/Treatment:

Prior to my arrest, I did not have a history of abusing illicit substances or alcohol.  Since that time, I consume more alcohol and sleeping pills.

Family Situation:

My oldest son (Thomas) is out of college and gainfully employed as an accountant.  My daughter (Annalise) is a sophomore at Indiana University in Bloomington, IN.  My youngest son (Samuel) is 15 and living at home with us.  My father passed away in 1986, but I have a good relationship with my brother (Clint) and sister (Rexanne) and mother (Karen).

Education:

B.S. in Agriculture, The Ohio State University, 1993

M.S. in Agricultural Economics, University of Illinois, 1997

Employment:

I am employed as Business Development Specialist for Glycerin Traders, a company 100% owned by my wife, Mariana Zeedyk.  My job is to find waste feed ingredients and industrial products for which we can find a beneficial re-use.  A prime example is the waste jam from Zentis in Plymouth, IN that is used as a high-sugar feed ingredient for four different dairy farms.

Financial Obligations:

The only personal financial obligation is our home mortgage.  The monthly payments are $1,120.08 and the total mortgage as of 10/1/24 is $88,000.

Future Plans/Goals

  • Assist in the development of a process to extract the fats/vegetable oils stuck in spent bleaching clay.  These fats and oils can be sold to feedmills and the remaining clay can be land applied.
  • Another possible plan is to purchase equipment to de-pack waste aerosol cans (https://despray.com/).
  • Develop/purchase an engine-generator that runs on wet ethanol to produce power for our plant and heat for our storage tanks.
