Upon release from prison, I, Christopher A. Hunter aim to rebuild and start a life, becoming a positive force in my community by pursuing meaningful work, education and business ventures.
~Career Initiatives
Begin working inshore on an oilfield or offshore on an oil rig to build personal capital and financial stability.
~Educational Goals
Enroll in online classes at Stanford University or Oregon University to pursue a Bachelor’s degree. Progress towards achieving a Doctorate, with the ultimate goal of becoming a highly educated and inspirational leader.
~Entrepreneurial Aspirations
Establish a group home for at-risk children, modeled as a boarding school with a strong emphasis on STEM/STEAM education. This home will function similarly to a Job Corps, providing a structured environment for education, life skills and career preparation. I have other business aspirations in which I have business plans written up but, this group home idea is my primary mission.
~Philanthropic Activities
Continue making monthly donations to organizations such as St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Easter Seals, and Covenant House.
~Community Impact
Serve as a beacon of hope and resilience in my community by using my life experiences to inspire others and demonstrate the power of transformation and second chances, in which to curb violence. My ultimate vision is to empower others through education, rehabilitation and community service, leaving a legacy of growth and positive change.
