On Friday I received my first books from this organization – the Release Plan Guidebook, the Preparing for Success After Prison Intermediate program, and Earning Freedom. Within the Release Plan Guidebook are screenshots of the different pages on this site. Now that I’ve seen these I have a much better understanding of what this site is and how it works. Therefore, there will be some changes to how I’m doing things. First, and most obviously, I’m dropping all the extra formatting I was doing – I now know that it’s completely unnecessary, since the site takes care of organizing my posts. The other major change is that I will be much more committed to posting. In all honesty, part of my hesitancy has been due to a nagging doubt in the back of my mind as to how well put together this site would be, leading me to doubt it’s efficacy. I’m very glad to say that my doubts were completely unfounded. I’m actually quite impressed with the site, and, as an incredibly visual person, seeing what I’m contributing to is a powerful motivating force for me.
Going forward I will be pushing myself much harder to post on a regular basis, complete book/movie reports, and continue to work this program with the intention of developing my own excellence.
To all of those who have been following my journey thus far, thank you, and please know that I will be putting maximum effort into improving myself.
Today, I’m starting the Preparing for Success program, and my intention is to complete a module each day. Once I’ve worked through the first module I will see how I can incorporate that work into my journal entries as well.
