Vince’s Daily Journal – Day 12

I’m honestly having a very hard time getting my brain to settle enough to get this journal done today. I’ve sat down and started 3 or 4 times, but I can’t seem to find the words, so stream-of-conciousness it is! I don’t want to make my posts a political thing, definitely not on a regular basis, but this is obviously a really intense political moment. I’m glad to see so many of our elected officials calling for a return to civility. However, it’s really frustrating to sit in this unit and listen to the conspiracy theories fly – ‘You know Biden ordered the hit.’ – ‘I bet Trump set this up just to take attention from his felonies’ – ‘Q ANON is going to take out all the conservatives’ – ‘The Proud Boys took him out because he waffled on abortion’….
Meanwhile, 2 men are in the hospital, a former and possible future president was nearly assassinated, and a husband, father, son, brother and friend was MURDERED for supporting their candidate. Again, this needs to stop! We need to build each other up, not tear each other down. So please, if you’re reading this, do your part to honor the heroic father, pray for the injured, and BE KIND
