Today has been a busy day. Another set back with the BOP. I had a detainer placed on me in January of this year. There was suppose to be an IAD letter sent out on Feb. 24, 2025 giving the detaining county 180 days to either pick me up or make resolution. As of today that letter has not been sent out, thus delaying my eligibility for home confinement by another 6 months. My recidivism is -7, my security level is minimum, and my housing level is minimum, This detainer is keeping me from camp status as well as any halfway house time. I have a spotless record full of classes and programs completed. I don’t really have a system of support that is equipped to deal with this type of thing. At 50% of time served coming up in October I am working on compassionate release. I have no legal background and I cannot afford assistance so any advice I could get would be greatly appreciated.
